My kids, 4 and 6, are in the after school program at BMAC. My daughter struggles with behavioural issues and can be a REAL handful. The BMAC team, led by Twitch, Justin, and Hayden have demonstrated an exceptional level of patience and dedication to work with her and keep her motivated to stick with her martial arts journey despite her stubborn resistance to authority and behavioural outbursts which have pushed other lesser child care providers to their breaking points. After several months of persistence I’ve seen a real shift. She is now applying herself in class with confidence and gaining momentum. As a father and a martial artist myself, it has made me proud beyond words to watch the transformation in my little girl and I am so grateful to her coaches for making this happen.

I’ve been training here for years and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The coaches, staff, and training partners are all top notch. Everyone is supportive, skilled, and genuinely invested in your progress. The environment is fun, welcoming, and it truly feels like a team. Training here has helped me grow not just in martial arts, but also in confidence, discipline, and mindset. Whether you’re just starting out or have experience, I can’t recommend this place enough.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO: KEEP YOUR MONEY LEARN SELF-DEFENCE NOT GET INJURED When I started doing classes I had high hopes to learn self defense. However this academy was one of the WORST of them all. First of all their pricing system is out of hand. When I had to take 2 weeks off from BJJ due to an injury, I called and sent an E-mail ONE MONTH before the procedure telling them to please not charge me during that period. They said okay and STILL charged me. Second of all, the training is very harsh. Even though most of the exercises are easy, most of them lead to injury. An example is in the warmup. (you get in a a spot and go straight into the splits, followed by some other stretches (2 or 3) and then go straight into workouts) This can lead to muscular injury and nothing you can do about it. The injuries are also caused by a lack of explanation from the instructor which causes the partners to get injured. Third off, the uniforms. The uniform is called a gi. It is supposed to be the uniform that bjj students use. Usually the gi comes with a team logo or two. This academy has at least 5 on the pants! Basically meaning that walking out and about with the uniform on is an enforced AD that you are wearing. To conclude, my experience in the academy has been horrible. I've already asked and signed to leave and the first thing they say is, "Come try the muai thai..." In all respect, just go anywhere else. PS: this is meant to be a respectful letter, I understand the professionalism and I am just stating an opinion.
