Our son has been attending the homeschool MMA class since September, and we've been so impressed with his progress! His coordination and self-control have improved significantly, and he looks forward to every class. Coach Mak is an incredible instructor—he's not only skilled but also encouraging, making a huge impact on our son. He truly admires Coach Mak and is always excited to learn. I have a former wrestling background and years ago, was asked by a buddy to assist with a kids wrestling clinic, which I did. I met the owner of Atlas, Mak, and he was friendly and welcoming right from the start. Now almost 10 years later, I have gotten into BJJ. I no longer live in the area, but my parents do, so I had returned for a week to help out with my mother following a medical procedure. I wrote to Mak and asked if I could come drop in to do a few classes. He responded almost immediately and noted I could drop in anytime. The instruction was top notch and the instructors helpful and thorough. Each grappler was welcoming and I truly felt like it was a home away from home for BJJ when I'm in town. Kudos to Mak for his world class studio. If you're in the area for a visit or live here, and you participate in martial arts, make sure to stop by Atlas. Coach Mak runs a fantastic gym. I took kickboxing there off and on for about 2 years. The gym is widely accepting of all ages, skill levels, and motivations for joining.

While in town for business, I dropped in for an Adult BJJ session. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. The Coach was very professional and informative. The other students and staff were very receptive of me dropping in and very friendly. This is an amazing place to train!
We love this place! We have 4 children and only one began classes in the homeschool MMA class at first, but it wasn't long until all 4 were dying to go and enrolled. The effect these classes has had on each of my children has been so different and positive. My shy child is brave in class. My sensory child loves sparring and has learned to handle it so well. My timid one has gained confidence. My wild one has grown in self-control. The classes are great in a technical form aspect, but also in a life building aspect as well. Mac is invested in our children as people, not just their fighting skills on the mat. There is discipline but it's so well balanced with kindness, inspiration, and fun that they respond very well to it. We can't say enough good things, seriously.

I've been visiting Atlas while visiting the States from overseas. It is a super welcoming team full of solid and friendly people. On top of that they have great sparring partners and a really nice coach with a great mindset. If you are in the area I'd definitely recommend checking Atlas out 👌
I started working out here about a year ago, taking Jiu Jitsu with Coach T and Coach Daniel. I love the camaraderie and atmosphere of the entire gym, and Coach Mak is one of the best people I know. Really started getting into training and dieting the last two months and have dropped 20lbs! Went from 240 to 220 super quick! If you want to learn from the best and get in shape, this is the place to be.

This was the BEST gym I've ever been a part of. Unfortunately my schedule changed dramatically so I'm not able to attend anymore. I would Absolutely reccomend 10/10. The coaches are ver knowledgeable and a great team environment for adults & children.
I’ve been going to Atlas for a little over a year. The coaches and students here are amazing. It doesn’t matter if you have zero experience or have been training for years the coaches here go above and beyond for all their students. The culture here is amazing and I highly recommend giving them a try.
I have trained at Atlas for years at this point and can only say good things about the facility and coaches. I’ve seen classes of 5 people and classes of 20+ people and the coaches never fail to address every individual and their goals as martial artists. Coach Mak and Professor Daniel are amazing and very patient with teaching our son. He is full of energy and gets bored really quick when sitting still. He is slowly getting better at sitting still. Atlas Martial Arts is an amazing establishment with even better staff! I had to move out of the area, and forgot to cancel my membership. After noticing this and contacting Mak, he very quickly cancelled my membership and refunded the fee, within the same hour. I'm blown away by how much Mak cares about his clients and does anything he can to make sure you're taken care of. The coaches there take time to get to know everyone, figure out strengths/weaknesses and positively push students to their goals, whatever that may be. Very professional and patient coaches. They treat you as family and they also remember your name personally. Been to some other gyms and this one is by far the best one with the most space and very friendly fellow students. Lots of knowledge and talent gather here. Coach Mack is an awesome individual with plenty of experience. Great for adults, families, and children to learn jujitsu and mixed martial arts.
Sensei Mack is an awesome coach and teacher. He really cares about these kids and makes a point to get to know the parents as well. Coach Daniel, who teaches jiu-jitsu, is the same way. They are both silly and know how to make the classes fun while still teaching them the correct way to perform the moves. I would highly respect these two coaches to anyone who is wanting to put their kids in martial arts.

Really thankful to have found and been accepted by Atlas Martial Arts. I place an emphasis on acceptance. My daughter has been looking for a place where she felt like she could fit in and be accepted. This is and has been a very inclusive and welcoming place for her to train. As for training, these folks are putting in work. This isn’t a everyone gets a trophy place to train. You will be trained hard and their is an expectation that students demonstrate their commitment. You will be challenged, you will be stressed, and you will be rewarded with a sense of accomplishment after each session. Highly recommend Atlas Martial Arts to anyone interested in training.
Today I walked in and Sensei Mack was closing out the little kid lesson with the dangers of too much screen time and how to effectively communicate. Pure Awesomeness. I’ve brought my kids to various gyms around the country and this has been my favorite. I love the training style. The sensei’s college education shines in the way he trains the children. I highly recommend this gym.
I love this place and the people there! A few years ago my boys attempted karate but decided it wasn’t for them. Then my youngest daughter was hurt by her father. I knew that the only thing I wanted/needed for her was Sensei Mak and his team. And because I knew them from before, I knew that I could ask him for help. And I did. Without hesitation he offered his kindness. We will never forget the kindness and love shown to us from these folks. to any parents that need a good laugh, this is a must! I’m practically rolling by the time we have to go home each night. Good vibes all around. God has given us many good people and things. Atlas is definitely one of many. Oh and I absolutely love listening to the lessons he teaches the kiddos! I pay close attention because they are lessons for adults too. Even though I am just the parent sitting off to the side, I have been able to learn from his classes and grow as a good parent too. She is so happy here and agrees that karate has helped her/us therapeutically, a great deal. This place is so much more than just martial arts, it’s a home in our hearts. So if there are any parents who think/feel like their traumatized child needs an extra step or boost in confidence, please put Atlas into consideration.

I had never trained before in my life and set a personal goal to not only train, but actually do well in various forms of martial arts. Sensei Mak has put together a great coaching staff and consistently looks to add to that based off the needs of his students. I was treated with respect at every turn, never felt the new guy awkwardness that many fear, and Mak fostered an environment for me to learn and grow as a person and martial artist. I can’t say enough how truly thankful I am for this gym. Friendly to all ages, skill levels, and goal sets. From coaches to members there is not a better place to train in this area.
Absolutely adore the dojo, it's the perfect place for anyone who wants to learn martial arts. It is not for people who want to earn belts as fast as possible though. Mak has been an awesome instructor for my ADHD/Autistic son.
Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. As a female with preconceived notions about what MMA is, I showed up intimidated and nervous, but left comfortable and confident. The respectfulness of the owner, staff and students is what every business should strive for. Highly recommended.

The Sensei's on the Atlas team are phenomenal at mentoring young minds and creating a healthy discipline foundation. Our son has attention issues and yet his attention and discipline at the dojo and at home have had noticeable improvements while learning here. Bottom line, the proof is in the pudding!
We are new to crestview, and my son tried both the karate class and BJJ (7yrsold). He was hooked pretty much the first day of trying both! And is so excited to go back every day. The instructors are both very firm, but make it extremely enjoyable for the kids. Love this place already, and highly recommend to any parents looking for a new place to send their kids!

Sensei Mak first started teaching my boys at 4 years old. They are now 15 and 16. As an Instructor Mak has high but attainable expectations of his students. His instruction goes beyond the dojo to include teaching the kids to just be decent human beings . He has great values and morals and it shows in his students.

Our family has been extremely happy with the level of instruction provided here. Sensei Mak is great with the kids. He has high expectations and teaches them to work hard for their goals. He teaches them that life is not perfect and won't be handed to them, they will make mistakes and it is emphasized that these mistakes are fundamental in learning. The kids have fun while they are there. I feel that the environment created is safe, where the kids have a chance to grow, learn and enjoy themselves. I highly recommend this dojo!
If you're in the Crestview area, you're crazy to go anywhere else other than this school. The kids program is unbeatable and the adults is taught by a legit black belt.
I have NEVER heard a Sensei be disrespectful much less to both adults AND children...3 times in the first 3 minutes and so many times in the first 10 minutes that I had to stop counting 😒 I thought it may have just been an "interesting" moment, but the disrespectful language continued on the waiver 🤔🤨 It's said because going in, this was just number one choice for my nephew, but I was ready to leave in the first 3 minutes. We stayed, but the disrespectful language continued 😡 The current students and parents don't seem to be bothered by it.
