  Great place to train. Complete beginner to jiu jitsu, felt welcomed from the start. Having no knowledge or ability wasn't an issue, everyone has been so encouraging and helpful with teaching moves and positions making a great atmosphere. David is a great coach and has a lot of time for you to help you learn the techniques, explaining things in a simple way to help understand. If your thinking about giving it a go definitely recommend Assemble as the place to start, you won't regret it!

  If you are wanting to get into the sport look no further than Assemble. I Started the beginner course at the end of August and now moved to full membership. Davids knowledge of the sport and attention to detail when teaching is top notch and he always makes sure to go around the class and offer advice on the drills. The classes are brilliant offering both Gi and no Gi as well as strength and conditioning. All the members are so welcoming and it just adds to the amazing atmosphere at the gym.

  Being new to a sport can be a daunting experience but David and the rest of the people at Assemble are extremely welcoming and patient. David explains things very well and creates a fun and relaxed environment. There’s a nice social atmosphere being part of the club. Another great thing is how David brings in coaches from other sports (Judo, Wrestling etc) to take a class every month which is a really good way to help develop your skills in other areas. Highly recommend

  Couldn’t recommend anywhere better to train. I started a couple of months ago with absolutely zero knowledge of bjj and now I’m hooked on it. The fundamental classes are perfect for starting to understand the sport a bit better and everyone is very patient and encouraging. Great environment to train in and a great bunch of lads.

  Metal Detector

  Never done any sort of martial arts before. Barely done any kind of sport either, however, always admired jui jitsu and had wanted to give it a go. Through a bit of persuasion from a friend I decided to look for a spot and thankfully Assmble were looking new members. I've never felt more welcome to a place before, and having zero knowledge or ability, everyone has so encouraging and helpful with teaching moves and positions. Everyone had to start somewhere and why not at Assemble. David is such a great coach and has a lot of time for you to help breakdown the techniques and help you get it right. So glad I gave it a go and always excited to get down to it. It also helps clear the head a lot.
