Best jiujitsu school in South Florida! If you want to develop your Gi or NoGi jiujitsu, this is the school to do it. Professor Diesel is a true Martial Artist who leads by example by constantly competing. They also have an amazing kids program as well.

Clean mats, great instruction and amazing personal development! I am thoroughly impressed with how much this dojo has developed my children. Within a few weeks I notice they have more confidence, discipline and focus. Sensei Diesel, Coach Engels and Coach Chico not only teach them sound jiujitsu technique but take time to develop them on a personal level. Highly recommend Arise

Arise is a great jiu-jitsu academy for all ages from kids to adults, boys and girls. The professor and coaches are patient and skilled making sure everyone learns at their own pace. My kids are building confidence and discipline which is something that will help them throughout any aspect of their life as they get older. It is a great atmosphere and family friendly.

Arise is such a welcoming place, from the kids to the adults, it is a caring and supportive community. From the first day you’ll feel the acceptance, you’ll feel like you’re right where you belong and that goes for both the adults and kiddos. To witness the more experienced kids showing my daughter what to do and how to do it on her day without Diesel or any coach asking them to speaks VOLUMES to the type of environment in Arise. You just have to experience it.

My husband has been training here for quite a while and I was so happy that he found his other "home". Diesel, Michelle, Mika, and Kat set a great example and are absolutely amazing. Besides their dedication and passion, they are very humble, patient and welcoming. Our 3.5 year old son recently started this summer and loves it! I am extremely happy that they opened up this new class for kids starting at age 3, Arise is family!!

The best jiu jitsu school in Miami!! Professor Daniel “Diesel” Fundora is amazing along with the coaches Michelle, Mika, and Kat!! The gym is family owned and operated. My son is 7 years old and began going amid the pandemic, the school has been a blessing. He’s been going to the gym for close to 2 years and he has learned many valuable lessons on the mat as well as off the mat. They not only teach jiu jitsu, they teach kids many other life lessons from respect to responsibility and self confidence. They offer the full package when it comes to child development and jiu jitsu training. My wife and daughter train @ this Gym and it is their happy place where they look forward to go every day, it's very clean with a nice atmosphere ! Professor Diesel and all the coaches are very professional. I couldn't think of a better place for my family to train Jiu Jitsu.

My son and my husband went several times to open mat, my daughter went cross training at Arise Jiu Jitsu. My best friend and her daughter train there every day. Professor Diesel is the most kind and welcoming person, the gym is very clean and spacious. Wonderful experience every single time. I wish more gyms were as welcoming as Arise. We highly recommend them.

This gym is one of the cleanest gyms out there. Both the professors and the students are top notch and have great technique, enough to challenge any practitioner. Great sense of family and extremely respectful atmospher. Would recommend this gym to anyone that wants a great workout along with a clean and respectful atmosphere. And they have a really popular open mat on Sundays that gets packed!

So, as my many photos can attest. I like to train. I've been to many schools, and continue to visit friends at other schools. I'm not the best by far, I like to say I'm just really good at getting beat up, but I'm happy to report most of my partners say I'm good, good at getting smashed lol. I call Arise BJJ my home base. I was with a different school for years, but my job took me out of the country for a few years and I came back looking for a new BJJ home. My old school was still there, but as most of us know, if it's not convenient as far as distance to get there, price ranges, and a different feel for management, I had to look for a new school. I visited several, and stopped when I got to Arise. One of the main sell points for me was the blog Michelle posted on the website, go read it, she did a great job and it got me in the door. Professor Danny "Diesel" is a dad, and Michelle (Purple belt Co-owner) is a mom. I'm a dad, so they understand the needs of a family and Jiu jitsu is a family. They've really brought that feel of family and comraderie to this school. All levels, ages, and backgrounds walk though the door with a good attitude and the atmosphere here is always welcoming. BJJ has so many benefits, confidence, weight loss, stress management, just Google it and see for yourself. If you're on the fence, or even thinking about visiting, just come and see for yourself what Arise BJJ and the world of Jiu Jitsu has to offer you. See you on the mats readers, I look forward to getting smashed but always surviving 😉 Oh yes, forgot to mention, very clean, they do this foot cleaning thing you don't see at many places. They have two working bathrooms, good parking, and offer many different hours to train. They are very forgiving if you're trying to drop off your kids at school in the morning and make it to class late. Appreciate all you do guys!

I enrolled my daughter Paloma in Arise about 2 months ago and It turned out to be the best decision. ever! Professor and all the coaches are dedicated and very good with our kids. The environment is amazing and it makes you want to be there every day and miss it when you can’t go. My daughter is so into it and every day she look forward to her Jiu Jitsu class. Highly recommended!

I joined Arise and attended a few classes before I decided Jiu Jitsu wasn't my thing. I was surprised to receive a personal message from Diesel (one of the professors) when I stopped attending, asking if everything was okay. If he took time out of his day to check on someone that attended just a couple classes, you have to imagine he has an intense dedication to his students. Even though Jiu Jitsu wasn't for me, I can't imagine having had a better experience than I had at Arise. Also, everyone at this gym seems really nice and eager to help. Close knit group. 5 stars, guys.

Professor Diesel and Michelle run a fantastic facility. They are extremely dedicated to their students and are constantly looking to make improvements to not only the facility, but to you as a person. They are BIG on cleanliness which is also very important when choosing a place to train. I did a few trial classes at a couple different gyms before signing up with Arise and in the end, I definitely made the right decision. They give a warm welcome to anyone who wants to stop by and the family-oriented atmosphere is something that immediately stuck with me.

Great instruction and camaraderie. Everyone trains hard and has the right attitude. It starts from the top. Prof. Diesel takes the time to clearly explain each technique and coaches everyone along. Coach Michelle also sets the tone with her discipline and dedication. The school also has other strong competitors that raise everyone’s level. Prof. Diesel and Coach Michelle also show genuine concern for each of their athletes. We train hard and enjoy ourselves, here!

I’ve trained at arise with profesor Diesel for almost a year now and I can confidently say that the environment, instruction and comradery here is amongst the best. Arise is a excellent place to train for people of all walks whether you are a casual practitioner or you have competitive aspirations. I have personally knows Professor Danny for almost 10 years. He is what you consider the top elite BJJ practitioner. Not only is he a World Champion but one hell of a competitor who competes actively and wins almost every single match. This place is the best! Not only is it run by a World Champion, he is also an amazing instructor with a real passion for teaching! I am a BJJ Black Belt and spent many years training with Daniel “Diesel” Fundora, and when I opened my own Academy in Colorado, I made sure to have him come to do a seminar at my school, so that my students could benefit from his incredible knowledge and energy. I have been practicing jiu jitsu for 8 years. I am very picky about where I train and especially where I take my young kids to train. Arise is the perfect place for my Kids to learn the self discipline and techniques they need to be well rounded confident individuals. Professor Danny is a legit high level world champ black belt under Michel “Buiu” Pereira he has a gift in teaching Bjj that will help you understand each technique very clearly he doesn’t just show you how to do it but he explains why you have to do it. Ive know professor Danny for about 9 years and watching him evolve from blue-black belt. If you’re looking for pure traditional Brazilian jiu-jitsu, this is the place to train. There’s a lot of school out there that you are kind of skeptical about they’re lineage but I guarantee you this is as pure and legit as it get with the Carlson Gracie Lineage under Michel “Buiu” Pereira. Join the school and enjoy learning from a IBJJF world champion, you won’t regret it!
