The passion that Coach Carlos and his staff has for his students are out of this world, Along with the exceptional training and discipline . They make you feel part of the family. Been training with AMG for a year and half and there’s no other gym like it! They love and appreciate all their students (even the adult!) There has never been a time where I felt left out! Our current adult coach Michael Sainz is by far the most patient and caring 18 year old I’ve ever met. All the coaches; Carlos, Corban, Tristan and Gaby are just beautiful souls even outside of the gym. If you’re an adult and never done jiujitsu before, this is the place for you!

Been at Alpha for 3 years now after spending 4 years at one of the biggest names in Jiu Jitsu. Honestly, no comparison. What we thought was a “mom & pop” operation ended up being the hardest working, closest knit jits team we’ve ever seen. We visited 3 other big names before making the switch and so glad we ended up here. Our old academy was literally 3 mins away from our home and Alpha is an hour and 15 min round trip for us but we do it twice a day with a smile, knowing we are in the best program in the nation! If that sounds like hyperbole just look at the kids program rankings at ADCC competitions and how our teen purple belts are out there beating high level adult black belts. But, don’t take my word for it. Bring your kids and see. Both my wife and I train and the Adults program is growing and getting stronger everyday. The kids program is bar none, Facility is amazing and the overall atmosphere is all u can ask for in a competitive sport like jits. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Signed our 7 year son up here 3 months ago and it was the best choice we could have ever made. More important than the skills he is acquiring, is the discipline and work ethic they are instilling in him daily. He is coached hard and loved. Our only regret is not having found AMG sooner.

Hands down the Best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Miami. I love that they are a family owned business, where the entire family pitches in. Coach Carlos knows how to work with each and every child. The attention to details when explaining techniques is great and there are a lot of women to roll with. (As a women in the sport this is very important to me) their kids program is phenomenal too.

I am a high school wrestling coach with 30+ years experience, and I send my wrestlers to Alpha Miami jiujitzu. I love that there's a lot of structure with a family atmosphere. Carlos Sainz is very hands on and takes the time to work with each individual athlete. My students mat wrestling has improved with the added dimension that jiujitzu brings. After training jiujitsu for 18 months at another gym, we started shopping for well-established kids' competition teams to help our daughter reach her full potential. Alpha, whom we had had our eyes on for a while, was our first and last stop on our shopping spree. Coach Carlos Sainz, his staff and students (as well as fellow parents) made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. They were warm and welcoming, making our daughter feel comfortable and included during her trial class. She enjoyed it so much she decided to stay for competition class, and the rest is history. We have been at Alpha for just under 2 months. In this short time she has made notable improvements in her technique, discipline, focus and overall demeanor. Alpha affords her the opportunity to train with some of the best kids in the country, all who are eager to share their knowledge on the mats. The caliber of training, professionalism, and dedication at Alpha are second to none. Coach Sainz is passionate about his craft and delivers instruction with the right balance of nurture, encouragement and discipline. Great school. Excellent coaches. I have two sons here at team alpha. My oldest son joined jiu jitsu 5 years ago and has loved coming here ever since. My youngest one never wanted to join and would cry all the time. Coach Carlos is very patient and worked with him. Little by little he started coming around and today he absolutely loves it. He asks me everyday if he is going to go to jiu jitsu. I Definitely recommend coming.

My eldest son (8) started here back in January and now my younger son (4) is there as well and they both love it! ...My 2 year old daughter loves it and she doesn't even attend (yet)... The loving atmosphere, support and care that each person gives is palpable - from the beautiful family that owns Alpha Miami to the kids and the parents! It truly is a family, on and off the mat, and I am so beyond happy and grateful that my family has this community in their lives. Not only are they teaching KICK-BUTT Jiu Jitsu by passionate Coach Carlos and prodigy Corbain, they are teaching work ethic, respect, humility, family values - true champs are bred here! My 6 year old son started learning Jiu Jitsu here in May of 2016. The owners, coaches, students and parents are all great people to know and we are very grateful the way they have worked with our son while making us feel like family in so many ways. The atmosphere is playful and busy at times but still focused on dicipline, exercise and of course great Jiu Jitsu training. If your child wants to learn to defend themselves, meet some great kids and maybe enter BJJ competitions then I recommend you visit. You will quickly notice a positive change in confidence level and respectability from your child. They also offer private, individual training sessions as well throughout the day.
