I have been training jiujitsu since 2017. Moved the family to Nebraska in 2023. A friend recommended me this gym and I went to a class. The coach and owner encouraged me to try other gyms in the city and then make a decisión. Fast forward 2025 I made the best decision for my jiujitsu journey. My wife and son started training and they loved it. Jiujitsu is probably the most fun way of getting in shape. You just have to make sure you’re choosing a gym that has the right environment and the highest level. It is not easy to find a place that has both. Ares has both, the highest level and a very healthy environment. Highly recommended

Came in from out of town was welcomed with open arms everyone was really good great vibes great gym no tuff guys and even had some people play leg locks with me the head coach is a great dude treated me great and will roll with the team during open rounds didnt make me pay as i was out of town for work was only able to stop in for one class but was welcomed back as many times as id like definitely will be back for work and will definitely be calling this place home whenever im in town

My kids also love the class and look forward to it every week. The instructor is knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and great with kids. I highly recommend them.

This gym is phenomenal. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Folks at this gym are very friendly and it's an all around fun environment to be apart of. The coaches are very knowledgeable and do a very good job of making sure everyone is comfortable and learning. Would recommend this gym to anyone!

This gym is my home away from home when I am visiting Nebraska! High quality instruction, a very family friendly environment, and tons of great training partners. The amount of mat space is also a huge plus. This is a great place to either start your jiu jitsu journey or continue it...10/10 recommend.

I'm a brown belt and visited Omaha for about a month and a half. I trained at Ares multiple times during my stay. Very welcoming environment from both the instructors and the students. I would recommend Ares BJJ Omaha to anyone in the area that is looking to train regardless of if you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner.

Couldn't ask for anything better! My son wanted to try it out and he's learned a ton in the short time he's been there. The team is great with kids and walks through everything so the kids understand what is being asked. To top it off they are all very friendly! There is an adult class after the kids and they all seem to be excited for class to start as well. Overall it's a really great place!

Absolutely amazing experience! Traveled to Omaha from Colorado for a work conference and they let me train with them. I can't give this gym enough praise. The professor is outstanding! The people are very welcoming and skilled. You dont have to worry about your safety here. Lots of higher belt women. So fun. I may have to come back just to improve my jiu-jitsu 😂. THANK YOU!!!

The next time I visit Omaha, I most definitely will be paying a visit to Ares. They were so fast to respond to all of my questions before I ever set foot in their gym. My cousin brought me in during my stay in Omaha to give me a new experience as she's been going here for over a year. I immediately felt welcome and it was literally the best experience ever! Never intimidating, although the skill levels vary greatly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was challenging (even for this farm girl) but so much fun!!!

Phenomenal gym!! A good friend of mine (and serious Jiu Jitsu practitioner) recommended to me that any time I am in Omaha, to check out this gym and he could not have been more right! From the first time I walked in, I was greeted and welcomed in by everyone! Before the first class was done, I truly felt as if I was a part of the gym! Every coach that I have interacted with has been incredible, kind, knowledgeable and respectful! No matter if you are a new white belt or a seasoned black belt, you will find someone not only with a similar skillset but also similar size to you to roll with. This is truly a great gym that is there to help EVERYONE grow in their jiu jitsu journey! If I lived in Omaha, I would eat sleep and breathe Ares! If you are even so much as considering checking it out, do yourself a favor and just do it! You will NOT regret it! Nebraska Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a great place to train. Me and my son (9 y.o.) train here. It has been an amazing experience. Connor, the youth coach does a great job with the kids. The guys and gals I train with are great people. Everybody is there to learn, train hard and have fun. The coaches (Nolan and Ernesto) are patient, knowledgable and fun to be around. I would highly recommend Nebraska Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Came here for the first time in April of 2017 for a seminar with 7 time world champion Paul Nava who was their head professor. From the minute I walked in Ernesto the owner and Nolan one of the main instructors welcomed me and was always welcomed there. I've attended 3 seminars and several classes including the judo class ran by one of my first coaches Judo Black Belt Nick. It's family fun environment, they train hard but they also train smart, the people are always friendly and welcome! Looking forward to making more visits and highly suggest to everybody checking this out!
