Muay Thai has been my passion for years. Having trained in high-level gyms in NYC and Thailand, I finally found my home at the Andre Gusmao Academy after moving to Miami. The respect from both coaches and fellow teammates was wonderful. The training focuses on technical drills, combos, and refining the fundamentals because, as they say, nothing beats the basics! Plus, it's a great opportunity to meet awesome people and receive valuable feedback on your skills, no matter what level you are.

Awesome people, awesome atmosphere. Even as a tourist as me, you'll feel very welcomed training here. For the day I'm visiting (Muay Thai class), we are doing some pads work and a little bit cardio as warm up, definitely a friendly class for people at different levels.

Incredible technique, staff and people that train at this gym. It’s rare to find a Muaythai kickboxing class that actually gives you controlled safe sparring. Best class and gym in town.

Great place for Martial Arts, you have a variety of classes: Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Capoeira for all levels (Beginners , Advanced, Kids). Andre and Tavo are awesome and very professional, they know how the get the best out of you every time you will show up!! All attendees are nice and respectful, good mix between men and women. Convenient hours. Bottom line I highly recommend this place!

This gym is the best gym
Training at AGA has really changed my life for the better in so many ways. I first walked in with zero Muay Thai experience and now, everyday I walk out of each training session with an enormous boost of confidence in myself. They truly are the real deal when it comes to Muay Thai and they do such a great job of making their training sessions really enjoyable. All levels from 1st day beginner to guys/girls with years of experience train together, which makes for lots of fun and interesting training sessions. The Muay Thai that is taught really is as good as it gets, thanks to the amazing coaching of Andre, Gustavo and all the other staff and members of AGA. I'm so grateful for what they have taught me over my course of time training with them.

Andres Gusmao Academy is the most professional gym I have attended in South Florida. I have been training MMA for 10 years and the environment at AGA is the absolute best and most intense. Muay Thai, BJJ, and Capoeira for all levels. Very affordable and super clean gym. The trainers are simply the best and most qualified. All are awesome but special shout out to Mestre Marcos 6am classes are awesome, Mestre Turracha 10am classes, and any and all classes with Mestre Gustavo are fun and very knowledgeable. And of course Mestre Andres Gusmao the very best of the best. Change your life and health for the better with the absolute best of the best, you will not regret it! Convenient location with parking, great gym environment for family, friends, especially children. My kids do kids & youth BBJ and has instilled in them confidence, respect, and tolerance. Also highly recommend their anti-bullying courses for all school-aged children.

My 4 year old son is really enjoying the Jujitsu classes. He is learning discipline, listening skills and being part of a team. Coach Gustavo is amazing with the kids. The price is very affordable. I highly recommend this studio.

Since moving to miami I tried just about every big name gym here before ever hearing about Refit. This place along side the one that is at coral gables is great. Coaches are excellent, and students are really good martial artist with good spirit and always helping to get you better. I had train at other places but no other will be like Refit. Common and check it for yourself! This place is indeed a good Dojo and I’m proud to call Andre Gusmao my Sensei.

Andre Gusmao is one of the best mma/jiujitsu/Muay Thai coaches in the world. Yes, I said in the world. He’s the real deal. He doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. He’s fought all over the world in different promotions including the UFC. The family vibe that ReFit has is incredible. Everyone leaves their ego at the door, and is always ready to train hard.
I’ve never liked easy stuff nor given without having earned them; by that I mean...REFIT is the place where you have to put the work in to earn ranks or simply to just keep up...yes, if you slack, you fall behind because everyone is constantly EVOLVING!! I’d never in a million years chose a different place or different coaches. Andre & Gus have built a family of disciplined fighters !! Bebessauro!!!

This is a great place to train where everyone is treated like family and the door is open - whether you are experienced or a beginner. They accommodate everyone and have their arms wide open. Class times are great - you need to train before work? They got you. After work? Theyre there. Lunch time? Classes are also available. When I met the coaches at Refit, I was 50 lbs heavier and depressed because I was overweight, old, and ugly. I’m still old and ugly, but 50 lbs lighter may have been how I landed my wife. If you are looking for a gym - this is your spot. Come and join the Refit family.

I have been attending this academy for years. I can not think of one academy here in South Florida where you are learning jiu jitsu from a legitimate former pride and ufc fighter. Andre Gusmao teaches every class personally. This is the best academy if you are looking for great jiu jitsu, a great environment with great people that will eventually become great friends.
This place is fantastic for kids. Gustavo and Pat are awesome teachers. We love coming here. The kids learn Jiu Jitsu and also respect, patience and self-discipline.

Best Place in Miami. If you really want to learn Capoeria, BBJ and Muay Thai. Or just get in a Bad Ass shape- this is the place ! As tough as it’s is it’s a very welcoming place and accepting to all. For all Levels
I had my daughter at this gym for a year, training BJJ. I must say that even though the place is great and they had an incredibly nice staff, they do not respect the schedule for 7-12 year olds. Clases started 5, 10 or even 15 minutes late most of the time and ended strictly at 6pm. So my kid almost never got the 45 minutes of exercise I was paying for (not cheap btw). This is very upsetting, because truly the teachers are amazing, the place is very clean, the walls are properly protected, the exercises and techniques are super beneficial for kids that age, and my daughter enjoyed it tremendously. But the fact is, they do not respect the time slot, and many times we had to run through the city to make it on time (17:15), just to be sitting there waiting for the previous class to end. That is very disrespectful to the parents that make a financial and planning effort, and I wish they could respect the time slots. Its just THAT easy. If my daughter's classes had lasted the promised (and paid for) 45 minutes, I would definitely give 5 stars, I would definitely recomend, and I would definitely come back. PS: I've been contacted by the staff of the Gym, and I'm glad to say that they showed a true concern for this matter, and assured me that the measures to solve this problem were being taken. I sincerely hope this is the case, because this classes were tremendously beneficial to my daughter and everyone there was super professional and commited to the training.

Unprofessional, non-collaborative, and dangerous. No pads on the walls so be prepared to hit concrete with your head. People are supposed to stand against the walls and warn you but they do not. Teacher is rude and aggressive in training like he has something to prove. Dangerous place.
