Recommended! After a bit of snooping around, I was glad to find that Anchor has free open mat from 10am - 12pm on Sundays. Scott (coach and owner) welcomed me in, generously offering water and Gatorade from their stocked fridge at no cost.
I like this place. Good vibe, good people, and clean. The facility is a little small, but that's to be expected of a newer gym (they've been here for around 1 year). Everyone was friendly and helpful. No chips on shoulders, no egos, just people wanting to get better at BJJ and to help those around them do the same. Scott was also happy to offer me some tips to improve, which I'm grateful for. Anchor offers classes tailored to children with ASD, which is cool as hell.
If I lived closer, I'd definitely consider making this my regular gym. For now, I'm happy to drop in for some open mats with good people.

Great rolls. Scott Sander is a beast and it’s a dope spot with a competitive group of people.

Stopped by as a drop in and everyone was extremely welcoming. There was a nice mix of lower and higher belts so getting some good rolls was easy. Coach Scott is very knowledgeable and detailed when he explains techniques. He takes the time to break down the little details needed to make the technique effective. The gym itself was very clean and the music playing during the rolls was in my opinion great! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Been to so many gyms and Scott and Michelle are so welcoming, show great hospitality to all who enters Anchor. They also have a program to teach jiu jitsu with people of special Needs. Love Anchor and the people, love how Scott is so patient and detailed with his training as well, 100% would recommend

Both of my sons started classes here 4x a week, and they absolutely love it! The instructor, Scott, is amazing with them. He's patient and makes it fun for them as well. This is their first time doing jiu jitsu, and they have already learned so much and are so committed. They both already earned their first stripe as well. Scott and his wife, Michelle, make everyone feel welcome and are quick to answer any questions. Anyone looking to start their child in jiu jitsu, this would be an ideal place to start!

I came across AJJ on social media and loved that they had special class options for my daughter, ASD (4). Right away the instructor, Scott Sanders, took his time establishing a connection with her, getting her comfortable on the mat, and really get an idea of her bodily autonomy and a range of motions. It was so incredible seeing her come out of her shell. I am si grateful and look forward to what the next 6 weeks of classes will look like for her social development and her confidence.
In addition, while waiting, Michelle (not sure if she’s the manager or receptionist), was so kind and I formative about BJJ and the benefits and really helped me understand and be comfortable as a parent.
Overall, it was a great experience. I will be recommending this to my friends and family and look forward to continuing classes here for my daughter.
