This place was amazing it's big it has parking it smells clean you can tell the people they're really care the ambiance was healthy the teacher knew everyone's child's first name was patient The studio looks like look like a child's dream
My grandson LOVED the class and can't wait to go again. Great staff
Mini ninja course with Amelia is the best ! She’s so good with the kids it’s fun to be here and watch
My son has a lot of fun in his class, and it's the only thing he seems to stick to! The instructors are great with him I am very pleased
Great staff! They always change the obstacles but follow a certain class structure. Great for kids all ages.
Amp Academy has played a beautiful roll in our family and my boys LOVE it! Not only do they work on body control, strength and physical abilities, they also help with controlling one's mind. My oldest son has been going for 3 (going on 4) years and has severe ADHD and sensory processing disorder. He has flourished under the coach's training and has truly made tremendous improvement in both mind and body control. Additionally, my middle son has profound hearing loss and the coaches have been incredibly accommodating to his needs. I can't wait until my youngest is old enough to ninja alongside his brothers. Truly an amazing organization with SERIOUS shout outs to Karambit, Gyro, Amelia and Polvo.
We love it at AMP. Well organized, friendly and supportive staff. And my son loves the program & variety of activities.
Booking the party was easy Nikki was easy to work with when it came to booking and answering all my questions. The party ran smoothly the staff that ran the party were amazing, patient and great with the kids. I didn't feel rushed and needed to hurry out for a next party to come in.Everything was perfect and the kids had a blast!
Accommodating, clean facilities, friendly staff and professional.
Clean, bright and professional space. Safe, knowledgeable, friendly and motivated staff. Love the encouragement, strength and confidence being given to my kids!
My kid loved it, she has ADHD. It's a great way for her to get out extra energy and also a great outlet mentally.
Incredibly kind staff with firm but gentle leadership for the kids. This place is incredible.
The staff was amazing... super friendly, professional and accommodating. The facility was clean with easy accessibility to the bathrooms. And the trial price for the first class was smart business 😄
We love AMP! My son's been taking classes here for two years. They make you feel like family. We're definitely going to be with them for a long time!
We started at AMP Academy in January 2016, and it has become a really important place for our two sons. They started parkour in elementary school and are now both in high school. The owner and the coaches at AMP Academy are knowledgeable, kind, respectful, and supportive. The classes are planned very well, and the expectations are clear. Everyone is welcome and met with the same respect, no matter your age or ability. Thank you, Josh and the whole team!
My son's have been going to AMP Academy since 2015 and it's helped them physically and mentally. AMP has given them a great foundation to for other sports like basketball an lacrosse.
Awesome place with very friendly stuff! Great place for kids to get some exercise!
Outstanding teachers! Amazing sense of community.
Amp is a wonderful community with great people! Range of course to take at reasonable rates.
My son is 7 and simply wants to be there every day. A great place for mental and physical health in addition to fun. I recommend it to everyone.
The teachers at Amp are amazing. Very encouraging and positive whatever level you are at. You don’t have to be a pro to be appreciated here.
My son has not liked ANY extracurricular activity until he tried Parkour at AMP Academy! He asked me to stay longer, when he gets to come back, and why didn't I bring him there sooner! They made a very good first impression and I am excited to see how much he learns.
Incredible instructors! They balance being patient with their students while continuing to encourage them and enforcing the rules. So many different class options for all types of students every day of the week and open practice on top of them. Incredible membership options for full families. Cannot wait to bring my boys back again!
The teachers are exceptional with children. They are warm and friendly towards both kids and parents. They have a talent for motivating children to persevere, and they provide effective guidance for learning techniques and skills. Their teaching fosters a sense of achievement and boosts self-esteem in their students. Our daughter thrives at AMP! In addition, the building is impeccably maintained and kept very clean. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I was very impressed with the instructor he made it very clear to all the students if they weren't going to pay attention to what he was teaching they were going to have to sit in the sidelines I was most impressed with was when he talked to the students about the different components of talking and listening to people a skill that is very obvious is not being taught to the children of today I really appreciated that pep talk see you next week
Our son has absolutely loved AMP Academy- he has attended camps and birthday parties here and always has a great time. The instructors are wonderful!
I used to go here all the time. eventually I went less and less from how many other sports I had. So I stopped the membership for coached classes. But still to this day, I practice and parkour is something I still love to do in my free time. Every single instructor there is very passionate and amazing at their jobs. Bc of how much fun I remember having, I hope to return and practice during open gym, I can’t wait to go back there!
The instructors were very helpful and kind. They were great with my kids and supportive. The environment is very welcoming.
Good vibe, fun class, tailored to my level. I recommend the capoeira class to anyone looking for a good workout who is willing to try something new.
Amp is a great place for kids.. only thing that is needed is a place for parents to sit and watch perhaps some stadium seating in front of the big glass window? Add ropes surrounding so we don't enter amp space
My son is very shy and he didn't want to leave my and had trouble participating. They were really good with him and he ended up having a great time and participating.
Great place with great staff! Kids love it! Love that the classes are a little different each week so no one gets bored. Clean and well maintained. Polvo is super and very accommodating...had 2 flawless birthday parties there and would have them again! Glad that I found a place that my kids enjoy going to each week!
Grandson loves it. Instructor is nice, kids are exercising and having fun doing it.
Our son has been training since they opened, and we're treated like family here. Josh is amazing, caring, and very cool. He's a very competent teacher, and I trust him with our son's safety 100%. AMP is THE best place to learn the art of parkour, and to train for ninja warrior. We love AMP Academy!
Welcoming, Informative and Encouraging! My daughter went for a trial class. Great space. 10 out of 10.
Fun and knowledgeable instructors, great space with a great energy, very encouraging to people starting out
The instructor of Ninja Warrior Kids Lotus is so patient and involved with the kids. He responds well to them and is always very hands on to help out and explain what needs improvement. My daughter loves this class!
I’ve had a blast going there. All the students are very supportive and the coaches are super nice and helpful
Amazing facility and great and talented staff. Highly recommend to anyone Intrested in learning parkour
A wonderful birthday party experience for our 12 year old. Polvo is a seasoned educator and facilitatorand it shows! 10 kids enjoyed 60 minutes of Nerf games and 30 minutes of free play while adults had plenty of room to socialize in the foyer before pizza and cake. Our first post-covid birthday was a day to remember thanks to Amp Academy. Highly recommended!
Kids had a great time, instructors were great and made them feel comfortable and confident.
Damon can not stop talking about it and how it was great. He can't wait til next Friday so he can do it again. Thank you Lotus for all the encouraging words you really built his confidence. Damon said he rates it 5 stars times 100.
My daughter has loved Capoeira from the day she was first introduced to it. Josh has been a great instructor and we have appreciated having a unique way to connect to others in the community while learning a new skill that incorporates music, language, culture and a martial art.
:3 I've been here for 5 years and would happily say being here and doing these activities would be the best 5 years of my life :3 1000% would recommend (I have)
Fun, energetic environment that fosters learning as well as respect for others
We joined AMP in 2016 and couldn’t be happier. Both my sons love their classes (parkour and stunt). The instructors are fantastic, the classes are fun, the atmosphere is very welcoming and inclusive. These kids don’t just learn cool new moves, they also learn to look out for and help each other. I would recommend AMP Academy to everyone!
I can't say enough good things about AMP Academy. My kids have been going to AMP's Ninja Kids class for the past two years, and although they've since moved on to other interests (as many kids do), they've become better kids as a result. What I've noticed which is most important: EVERY kid is welcome regardless of their athletic ability, and every kid receives an equal amount of attention. There are no "favorites" here... Josh (the owner) and his instructors spend time helping every student use their own strengths to conquer each obstacle, and they also ensure that everyone in the class stays focused. No kid leaves this class feeling like they were left out. Class sizes are reasonable (usually around 10-12 students, less in the summer), and they set up new obstacles frequently so there's very little repetition. My review is based only on AMP's Ninja Kids class, but they've got an assortment of other classes as well; Parkour, Capoeira, etc. The first class is always free... even if it wasn't, AMP Academy would still be worth checking out.
Both of my kids are going to amp academy. My son takes parkour classes and my daughter is attending mini ninjas. The level of classes is very high, I would recommend it to people who want there kids to receive skills which can help them in everyday life. It’s a place where you are training, not playing, so you need to read all rules because they are important to avoid injuries. All coaches are very attentive to kids and the atmosphere during classes is always positive.
Amazing parkour, ninja and capoeria academy in Fall River! Truly a hidden gem in this town. Came here for a few open sessions and the facility was clean, safe and awesome! Great for kids and adults who like a different workout.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. My son has been taking classes here for almost a year and continues to enjoy it. Josh and the whole team are great! I've seen them work with all age groups, skill levels, and personalities and their ability to connect with and encourage each person is something that is truly appreciated.
Before joining AMP my son (4yoa) was jumping from couch to couch, bed to bed and wanted to try the roof. We called AMP with the hope that we could focus Quins energy in a safe and positive way and still allow him to challenge himself. That’s exactly what we got!! Quin has learned exercises that he does daily now and gets to push his physical limits in an environment that’s safe and controlled. The teacher (Josh) does an excellent job of managing the kids and teaching discipline while allowing them to have fun and participate in different challenges/obstacles. Quin has literally shown every member of the family and his pre K class how he does a push up now and always says “Josh taught me this.” I love the confidence this has instilled in him and the safe outlet for his energy. Strongly encourage anyone with a young child, girl or boy, to look into this. My daughter, who was just born, will be enrolled to the mini ninja class as soon as she’s 4.
Awesome place to learn parkour! My kids had an awesome time during an open house, and we will be definitely taking advantage of their open gym days to get in shape. The instructor is very knowledgeable, experienced, and a really nice guy. Thank you for the hospitality! Willette's Optical Paradise Approved 👍
Our 10-year old son LOVED his ninja warrior themed birthday party. Polvo was great with the kids and everyone was able to participate regardless of athleticism. The facility itself is large and colorful with a great range of equipment. As parents, everything was taken care of, we only brought the cake, drinks, and cutlery. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids try different activities. Definitely worth the trip from Providence.
Our entire family is loving AMP. We're here 4 times a week now with all 5 of us in classes and coming to open gym. Joshua is great with my kids, one of whom has a sensory processing disorder and anxiety. He is patient but firm and helps her focus and keep trying even when she panics that she'll never get it. I would recommend AMP to anyone, adult or child, who wants to build useful muscle in a fun way and learn awesome new skills.
Great people and lots of fun. Be ready to be sore the next day.
The place and Josh are amazing, he is a strong, positive force. My daughter absolutely loves it!!
I've been coming to amp for two years now and I have definitely seen an increase to my overall health and strength. Everyone should give this place a try if they want to try ninja warrior or parkour as well as yoga and capoeira. The teachers are all awesome people and have many things to teach you. The best way I can describe this place is a giant playground for kids and adults!
By far the best thing you will experience. Personally I have lost weight and gained a ton of muscle through these ninja classes. It's an awesome community and Polvo is a great coach/teacher. Definitely 100% recommend it for kids AND adults. First class is also free!! :)
AMP is the definition of "Judgement Free Zone". The instructors are all wonderful people that do nothing but encourage you to push your limits and compliment you every step of the way. I have been going for a few months and don't think I have ever had so much fun getting back into shape. Both the Parkour and Ninja Warrior classes are designed for both beginners and veterans of the trades alike, allowing a crazy variety of skill levels working together and learning from each other. Even the recently started Capoeira classes work for both beginners and veterans, so anyone can step into the class, have a blast, and get a great work out to boot. I greatly recommend taking a class here if you have not already.
amp academy changed my life and I am a new kid now all because of josh
My boys love it! An ATTITUDE FREE, super cool place to get in shape. Always adding and mixing it up with a wide variety of "ninja warrior" obstacles. It is well organized, professional and loaded with a ton of experienced adult guidance. I have seen all ages, from smaller children to adult men and women. All of which are at different levels of fitness. My boys leave not only, exhausted but with a solid "good sportsmanship" attitude. Thank for being part of this community!
AMP Academy is a super awesome place! I love going there. The parkour classes are really fun and instructive, and the gym has lots of cool obstacles (with more in progress!) and it utilizes its space very well. And perhaps more importantly, the atmosphere is very open and non-judgemental, and welcoming to people of all skill levels. Josh, the owner and instructor, is really nice, but not a pushover. I have nothing bad to say about AMP, except that I don't get to go there enough!
I was searching for a place where I could learn specific skills to add to my toolkit of movement and fitness. As a dancer, martial artist, and athlete, it is imperative to have a place to train that gives you the freedom to do more than the basics like lifting and running. I found that place in AMP. AMP Academy has classes for the well rounded, the new, AND the extreme athlete. It is a playground for bodies of all ages where you can train at your own pace without feeling overshadowed by more advanced members. At AMP Academy, it feels like everyone wants to see you succeed. There's even a wall of personal achievements so members can see progress in real time. If you enjoy dancing, jumping, running, swinging, and climbing, you're gonna love it here. -Bishop
I must say that having been an accomplished social and competitive dance instructor for over 18 years I was excited to be a newcomer student in something. But as an almost 40yr old who has always been active but never athletic, I was a little nervous......right up until I met the staff and students at AMP. Given my schedule at the moment, I am currently only attending 1 class per week. But every week I make progress and accomplish things I couldn't do the week prior. There is a strong amount of support, guidance, and celebration from the entire AMP family. Josh makes sure that we are challenged to our personal limits and supports our growth towards our individual goals and achievements. There are no cliques at AMP. The really skilled students are happy to share tips and strategies with those like me who are just getting started. Coming from someone with no previous upper body strength and couldn't even do a pull-up prior....I must say that my wife likes the new pecs and biceps that I've developed. Whether you are thinking of competitive ninja warrior training or just, "Those obstacles look fun. Wouldn't it be nice if I had those skills?" I urge you to try out AMP.
As a fellow Parkour gym owner, I can attest that Josh is a fantastic teacher and his crew is very welcoming. My students thoroughly enjoyed training with them, and I look forward to further team-ups in the future. -Scott
Woohoo so much energy and good vibes. Thanks for the constant encouragement! 👍😄👌
My daughter liked the classes and the teachers but I had significant issues with communication, scheduling issues, and billing BUT they did reach out to me and fixed the billing issues and management was great. I'm happy with the way they resolve issues. It's not a hassle or an argument, its an apology and a fast resolution.
The owner and most of the instructors we had encountered were very professional and nice. Some of the time slots in the mini ninja class that are at maximum capacity seem to have a lot of waiting between stations for the kids, which can be tough on the little ones. It's a great way to get high-energy kids to gain some experience with parkour. One huge downside, location. Parking is the WORST. It's honestly so tough to find parking in the lot, and if not the streets have very limited parking. We enjoyed our classes and at some point will definitely do some more drop ins here and there.
The kids parkour instructor is patient, compassionate and passionate about what they do. He's usually great.
I signed my daughter up for a trial class. I was told to be 15 min early to fill out forms. When i got there I walked to one entrance thinking it was the entrance we go into and it said to walk around so we walk all the way around the building go in and up the stairs go into the gym and I was told rule #1 we can't be more than 8 minutes late for a class. Sure that would apply if my daughter was a student but she was not. We were just there to try it out. When I called there were no mention of 8 minutes being late. I will go somewhere else and give them my money and they will help my daughter since 8 minutes won't be a problem if you really wanted customers and wanted to help kids.
