I go to the gym at fairhaven and started 2 weeks ago and everyone is super welcoming and friendly and always ready to teach you, all instructors have a lot of patience. I look forward to it every week!

Did our first class there just over a week ago and was instantly hooked; great set-up, great people who are willing to teach and learn alongside you, and super easy to jump into. Will recommend this academy to anyone who is looking for a place to start their BJJ journey! -Aidan M

Our 5 year old started today and he enjoyed every minute. The instructors were very nice and explained all of the moves so that he was able to follow along. We feel that he will learn good discipline and self-defense.

I started bjj a month before my 63'd birthday. In the 18 months I've been here I have found the coaches to be patient and understanding in their instruction. If you are more (cough) mature and want to learn, come here.

I started training at DSBJJ in Somerset last year. Nothing but good things to say. Extremely clean gym. The staff and all the coaches are professional and it is a very welcoming environment. Highly recommended.

Glad to be part of such a great team. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. If you’re on the fence ,give it a try. You will be happy you did. I did that exact thing 15 years ago and it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I’ve been training with DSBJJ for a little over a year-first the Somerset location and now at Bristol. As a woman with no prior grappling experience, both class locations and coaches have been welcoming, instructive, and challenging in the best way-If you’re hesitant about trying, give it a shot!

I just began training at Danny Savery BJJ. From the moment I signed up for the introductory class, I knew I was in for a remarkable experience! Their commitment to providing an informative and well-organized learning environment was evident from the get-go. Owner, Danny Savery, is an incredible teacher. His expertise has shone through every session. The curriculum is thoughtfully structured and crafted for all skill levels, making it an ideal place for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. The staff and fellow practitioners are so nice. They create an environment where questions are encouraged, and everyone is eager to help each other grow- from the instructors who patiently work with me to ensure my progress, to the fellow students who offer insight and tips. Learning here feels like a shared journey, rather than an individual pursuit. Whether you're a beginner (like me) or a seasoned practitioner, here you can learn, grow, and connect with an incredible community. I recommend this academy to anyone looking to embark on a journey of self-improvement through BJJ!

First class today. Felt absolutely welcomed by professional and courteous students and staff. As students filed in they were welcoming and friendly. As class commenced each experienced student took a few minutes on the mat as Dan taught me as well as guided them in instruction. Cannot say enough about this experience signed up for classes that day and am very grateful to start my experience with this team.

Awesome new DSBJJ Bristol location to compliment the main academy in Somerset providing additional training options. Step on the mats and leave your troubles behind... :)

This new location is so convenient for my fiancé - they offer flexible schedules for adult classes in the evenings that aren’t too late. He is loving both of Danny Savery’s locations!

My daughter is counting down the days until the next lesson. GREAT instructors, super clean gym with really nice mats, awesome location and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended! Adult class is great too. Very cooperative atmosphere and detailed instruction. EDIT: Adding to this review. Outstanding culture at this gym. The upper belts are extremely accommodating to beginner students. To add, my adult membership allows me to take classes at the Bristol location (which as I've stated before in this review is great) but also the Somerset location (which is incredible). This affords me huge flexibility of schedule. Absolutely fantastic instructors and students. I'm extremely happy with my decision to enroll both my daughter and myself.

I’ve been with Danny for the past 10 years and I can firmly say that this team is amongst the best in the area. Not only will you find an academy that is grounded in decades of knowledge, you will find yourself a new family as soon as you walk through the doors. Whether you’re trying to get in shape, find a new hobby, build confidence/self-esteem, or make some friends, DSBJJ is your one-stop shop for it all♥️

Ive been training at Danny Savery BJJ for a little over a year now, this is their newer, second location. I’ve learned so much and it’s truly been like a second home for me. I’ve made great friends, had fantastic conversations, and look forward to it every time I go. It’s absolutely worth the cost. Everyone is so friendly, and the instructors are very knowledgeable. I started to simply lose weight, but I’ve already learned a lot and thoroughly enjoy my time here. They do an introductory class so you can see if it’s right for you without outright joining. They offer a range of classes that fit everyone, and you can mix it up if you like. This place and the people there have given me so much more than I thought it could. I absolutely love it here. Highly recommend.
