I've had the pleasure to watch Sensei Johnny grow up in karate. He has dedicated his life and time learning/teaching his craft. Any student he gets will have one of the best instructors.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Sensei Nunez for over ten years, and during that time, I’ve watched him grow both as a martial artist and as a person. Throughout his journey, he has built strong, lasting relationships with both students and parents, earning their trust and respect. His dedication is truly inspiring — whether it was working tirelessly towards earning his third-degree black belt or overcoming the challenges of opening his own karate school, he’s always demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his craft. What stands out most is his genuine passion for teaching, especially when it comes to working with kids. His ability to connect with them, inspire discipline, and build confidence is remarkable. Over the years, he’s consistently demonstrated a dedication to helping his students grow, and his hard work has led him to create something truly special.
Sensei Nunez is great! I have a disability and I was nervous about going to the women’s self defense class. Sensei was very patient with me and helped me get some of the basics down. Will 100% be back!
Sensei Johnny is a wealth of knowledge, treats all the kids like his own and utilizes karate as a tool to create confidence in life!
My kids have been with Amerikick for years. They absolutely love it so much that they refuse to enroll anywhere else. My older son was extremely hesitant to join at first but the sensei knows how to break him out of his shell. Once he was comfortable, he thrive in so many ways.
