We recently hosted my son's birthday party at American martial arts studio. It was so amazing and super fun. It was well planned by Sensei Paul and Joe. All the kids attended were new to karate and they all were excited and enjoyed.The best activities liked by kids were the obstacle course and basic karate moves. It's a great place to host birthday party with kids engaged as a team activity.
Love the instructors care for the children. I cannot believe that Sensei Paul and Joe remember all of the students names. Great program for providing respect, confidence and discipline.

I had originally started at AMAA because I had been helping with transportation for my grandson (who has been enrolled for years), however it has turned into an exceptional and rewarding experience for me. The AMAA staff are all well-trained (and they continue working towards their own advancement), friendly, and extremely adept at working with young children, teens, and adults. I would very much recommend giving them a try!

Sensei Paul and Sensei Joe are wonderful persons. They take the time to teach students martial arts and then help them in getting it correct. Their Dojo is a very welcoming place. Kids love to interact with Paul and Joe. They take the time to organize many kids friendly events through out the year. Also, they not only teach martial arts, they impart learnings to be a better human being. I would highly recommend their Dojo.

So happy we found AMAA! Been wanting to get my 7 yr son involved in martial arts for some time to try and build some confidence in himself. I finally convinced him to just give it a try with their summer special they were running. He was very nervous for his first day but as soon as we walked in the door Sensei Paul was extremely welcoming and knew exactly how to make him comfortable. After that first day he was absolutely hooked and can’t get enough of karate! He looks forward to every class, practices at home and has his sights set on being a black belt! Every instructor has been amazing and I have loved to watch my son’s confidence in himself grow. I can’t recommend AMAA enough!

My daughter has been with AMA since she was 6 years old (then Villaris) and loves Sensei Paul and the entire team. It’s been more than 3 years now learning karate and there isn’t a day she doesn’t look forward to her class. What we love about AMA is not just karate but also the important values they teach children directing them in the right direction.

As someone who studied the arts for over 20 years myself I can say that the quality of instruction is fantastic here and the kids really engage and enjoy their learning experience. Sensei Paul and Instructor Joe are excellent.
AMAA has been great karate learning school for my kid. We joined this place about a year ago and my kid truly enjoys the class. The instructors Sensei Paul and Mr Joe are excellent in coaching and providing the necessary skills. My kid has gone through the training from beginner classes to the Junior advanced class and we plan to continue to achieve the black belt rank. Overall we are satisfied with the coaching skills, clean premises, location and timings offered.
My daughters really enjoy karate here at AMAA. The classes are an excellent balance of fun and discipline, and my girls look forward to going to classes each week. The student leadership team provides great role models for the younger kids, contributing to a strong sense of community and growth for younger students. My older daughter has moved into the advanced "black belt club" this year, and her increased discipline and improvement is striking. My younger daughter is begging to also join black belt club as soon as she's old enough, and my son will be a "leopard cub" before we know it! Overall, we've been very happy with our first 1.5 years at AMAA!

Sensei Paul and Joe have the perfect combination of play and "learn" to teach martial arts in an effective manner for the kids. I cant believe how my little one blossomed into an "Achiever" and "hard worker" with the rigorous training at the dojo.

Our boys attend karate at American Martial Arts Academy, so when it came time for my one sons 4th birthday we thought a karate party would be perfect. The party far exceeded our expectations! Sensei Paul and Mr. Joe were great! They had great energy and fun events for the kids including an obstacle course! The highlight for the parents was a game of parents versus kids dodgeball! Everything was well organized and planned. I am always amazed at how Sensei Paul and Mr. Joe know all the kids names and the birthday guests were no different! They called all by name! Oh and did I mention there were pictures of the birthday boy when we arrived! Being able to lead the party and be Mr. Joe (aka stand where Mr. Joe does for class) was the highlight of Jordan’s weekend! 5 stars and would highly recommend for any party! Thank you as always Sensei Paul and Mr. Joe!
This has been such an amazing activity for our second grader. Sensei Paul has a gift of working with kids and knows the right balance between positive challenging and rewards. Him and his son are great at instilling confidence and grit in the kids. Could not be more pleased with the style of teaching and just how involved his whole family is with the process. You feel part of the family when you come in.

Sensei Paul and Mr. Joe have the right combination of teaching and "dodge ball" moments to keep the younger kids engaged during class. Their one on one interactions with the kids while teaching them new skills in kempo, goes a long way for the kids to assimilate what is being taught in the right manner. Enroll your kids here if you consider martial arts for your little ones as a "Life Skill" since that is how it is being taught at AMAA.

A great place for a birthday party. They kept the boys engaged and active, while teaching respect. They made the birthday kid an "assistant" to help with the class, which really made it special for him while keeping everything a group activity with a bonding kind of feel. The party moved without feeling rushed. There were smiles from all!!

My son is three weeks into his new venture in karate and we couldn’t be more pleased with the school. Sensei Paul is friendly and welcoming and the students all give a family type vibe. Class sizes and social distancing have been satisfactory during the pandemic and they maintain a professional and safe environment for the kids to enjoy some time out of the house. Lastly, my son is receiving super intense 1:1 instruction in this classes and is scheduled to move up to the next belt in 2 more weeks! I highly recommend joining!

Sensei Paul is great at teaching karate to anyone.... young children up to adults. While a variety of techniques are taught he also teaches life skills and lessons.... Respect, responsibility, kindness, teamwork, leadership, etc. My daughter was never into traditional team sports but just loves coming here. She's built confidence, skills and friendships along the way!
My 5 year old son absolutely loves taking karate classes here!Despite of his gross motor delays, he has gained more confidence with new skills, and the classes have helped his coordination and strength already in the 2 months that he has taken classes virtually/in-person. Sensei Paul demonstrates the perfect balance between teaching self defense and discipline while making it a fun and positive experience, I highly recommend Villari’s!

What an amazing place to train. This is NOT the type of karate school for those that want to be aggressive toward others or to become full of themselves. This school teaches humility, respect toward others, and gave me the confidence I needed as a young woman headed to college.

Karate is so much fun they teach bullying for all kids in schools and confidence, they play games that go along with the curriculum like dodgeball if you get hit do a karate move you learned, or tag or anything it’s so much fun for everyone.
My both daughters love to participate in Mr. Paul classes - he's very great with kids - don't ask how he did it - but seems he his like a kids whisperer...they're listing without yelling! AWE...great small school!
Our grandson celebrated his 6th birthday party with a dozen of his friends at Villari's Self Defense Center. The kids had a blast! It was a perfect party that they will forever remember.
My girls love going to karate. Paul does a fantastic job of making class fun. The flexibility of the schedule is a huge plus. Highly recommend this studio, especially for little ones. I also love that the program is focused on self-defense and how to defend against "bad guys" (without scaring the kids). It's a very positive environment for kids.

I highly recommend Villari's. I've taken my two kids to several different types of classes and this is the best bang for your buck because it addresses so many aspects of child development - mentally and physically - AND - it's so fun! They demand (and get!) respect, they teach and play with the kids on their varying levels, the kids get a lot of exercise for a healthy life, they learn how to protect and defend themselves which boosts their self-confidence. I always say that it's the people that make or break a class, not the program, and Paul and Mat know how to motivate and encourage all types of kids to do their best. It's really a great place to be.
