Master Brett, Sensei is phenomenal with both children and adults he has an uncanny ability to see his students strengths and weaknesses and is able to harness both into disciplined strength. This dojo feels like home. From what I've seen, every volunteer and staff member is very involved and they care about every single individual, excelling.

If you are looking for a safe and friendly environment for your child to grow in every way....look no further! My son has been a student of American Dragon Martial Arts for 2 1/2 years and counting! He has grown mentally, emotionally and physically! His behavior and self control has improved as well and I'm beyond thankful for our American Dragon family!

Bret with American Dragon Martial Arts accomplished in 15 minutes what no other human has been able to do. Tame my crazy 4 year old long enough for me to catch a standing catnap! My daughter is so excited for her next class with Sensei Bret Gordon. Check them out!

Fantastic martial arts instruction! It’s nice to see a school focusing on self defense instead of just the sport aspects of martial arts. Safe, fun and engaging for all ages. Highly recommend!

I have been practicing Kukki/Jidokwan Taekwondo for 20 years and the instruction Sensei Gordon offers in authentic Korean Karate is second to none. He teaches Jidokwan martial arts as they were intended, which is to be practical self-defense. If you want to experience authentic martial arts training then you can’t go wrong with American Dragon.

Three years ago I found martial arts home at American Dragon. The the instructors are knowledgeable and patient, which I need alot of. They have always treated me like family and go out of their way to welcome newcomers. If you looking to start training martial arts its worth stopping by and taking a look.

I chose this school when I wanted a place for my young daughter to learn the martial arts. I did not want a sport school where trophy winning was more important than learning the self defense and I wanted her to learn the respect aspects of the martial arts. I have never regretted my decision to pick American Dragon and I joined the school as well. Whether for children or adult men and women this place is the place to study. No one and I mean no one is more qualified by training or real world experience to teach the Martial Arts than Grand Master Richard Hackworth,

All the instructors and staff here are professional and caring! Yes there are other martial arts out there and is great, what makes this unique and different is that the staff are very personable, very engaging and teach discipline and self-defense. They even have awesome field trips to many places and teach language culture and development program. They even accept kids who have special needs which is really awesome and treat them like their own kids. I’ve been with them for years and I studied in China and the training here is authentic!

My son and I have been going to American Dragon since September and they are awesome. Unfortunately the martial arts industry is not regulated so anyone can say they are a black belt legally. This makes it difficult for someone new to compare schools. Grand Master Hackworth, certified by the Korean Hapkido Federation, trained in Korea and Japan for over 20 years, He is an excellent instructor and he truly loves what he does. Master Stone is also very knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the art. Don't get sucked into the hype of MMA and Jujitsu - consider WHY you want to learn a martial art. If your goal is to be able to effectively defend yourself in ANY situation, Hapkido is the better choice. If your only goal is to participate in tournaments and win trophies, there may be better choices than Hapkido. Hapkido is a real-world martial art used by police and military world-wide. The best part of American Dragon is that the classes are small and personal. Many other martial arts schools take a Walmart approach to learning, packing in as many students as possible in a single class. Think Mr. Miyagi versus Cobra Kai from Karate Kid. Another consideration is many martial arts schools conceal all the mandatory fees and force you into a contract. American Dragon has upfront pricing and no contracts - because they do not need to use those shady tactics, which is the primary reason I choose to sign up with this school versus the larger flashier schools. If your are interested in small classes, expert instruction from the best instructors in the business, and learning a martial art that you can actually use to defend yourself in just a few weeks versus months, check out American Dragon, you will not regret it.

I took Karate as a child and then studied martial arts as an adult in the Marine Corps. The program at American Dragon Martial Arts is truly real world self defense that will help you in the streets if you ever get attacked. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. I can't thank them enough for all that they do.

I have been involved with martial arts for over twenty five years and this is by far the best school I have even seen. As a fourth degree black belt I thought that it would be impossible to find a school that could offer the advanced level of training that I was looking for. This place has it all. From beginner to master level training and directly connected to the world headquarters in Korea you won't find anything better anywhere. I enrolled our entire family. The staff here is truly world class.

I have trained at several schools in the last twenty years of my martial arts training and I can say with confidence that the American Dragon Martial Arts Academies in Ocoee, Florida is one of the best schools in the country. As a senior black belt I still learn something new at every class. The adult training program is first rate and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn real world self-defense that works in the streets.

This place doesn’t have any proper security for the children and inadequate polices & procedures for child care. A sad day when an employee & wife (Rayleigh) of the owner has to post a review to save face.
