Amazing experience!!!!
I came in for an intermediate class and open mat while I was in town. This is easily one of the best schools I've visited. Top notch instructors and great students. I learned a lot in my short visit
Patient instructor and well paced. mix of all skill levels keeps the material accessible. Never felt left behind. Would definitely recommend
I did a fundamentals class recently and I really enjoyed the professors intentional communication to help maneuver new moves and be safe. A great gym, I will keep training here.
Visited here while working out of town. Great environment and even better people. Definitely recommend training at Alliance Martial Arts if you are local or visiting.
Joining Alliance Headquarters has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I initially signed up just to stay active and move my body, but what I’ve gained here is so much more than I could have ever imagined. From day one, I felt welcomed by the professors, coaches, and teammates who are truly passionate about Jiu-Jitsu and about each person who walks through the door. This isn’t just a gym; it’s a family that supports you in every way—on and off the mat. The professors and coaches are not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but they genuinely care about each student’s progress and well-being. They go above and beyond to help you learn, grow, and achieve your personal best. They celebrate every win with you, no matter how big or small, and they are right there to help you overcome any challenges. The camaraderie and support from my teammates is something I’m so grateful for. Training at Alliance has not only improved my physical strength and technique but has also boosted my confidence, resilience, and mindset. I’ve made lifelong friendships and feel so inspired to keep pushing myself every day. If you’re looking for a place that will push you to your limits, help you achieve your goals, and surround you with positive, passionate, and dedicated people, Alliance Headquarters is that place. Thank you to everyone here for building such an amazing, supportive community. I can’t recommend this gym highly enough!
All the instructors are passionate and teach you well. Corey takes care of your membership related issue very well. Good place to train 👍 Good members too. Welcoming atmosphere.
I moved to Atlanta from Portugal for four months and was looking for a place to train. I found not just an academy, but a second home here in the US. The atmosphere is fantastic, the instructors are top-notch, and the teaching method is exceptional. My Jiu-Jitsu has grown immensely since I started training here. A big thank you to Alliance Atlanta
Can’t recommend this place enough. World class instruction. Great for all ages and skill levels. Beginner and advanced programs have well defined curriculums and progress the athletes well. Great energy in the training room and environment!
Absolutely the best gym around! Don't pass up the the opportunity train at the mecca of Jiu-jitsu!!
The instructors are great and so is the atmosphere. I would highly recommend Alliance to people looking to learn self-defense or wanting to get back into shape. I also appreciate being able to train in the morning, over lunch, or in the evening.
Excellent Jiu-Jitsu instruction and professors! My safe place.
I moved from Brazil almost 10 years ago and visited and trained in different gyms in Atlanta. But no one compares with Alliance. The high level training takes my Jujitsu to another level Plus the friendships, loyalty and forgiveness. It does not matter to me that I have to drive 1.5hrs round trip because I know I will achieve my goal. Doesn’t matter if you are beginner or advanced, Alliance is for all. Come join us!
I’ve been training at Alliance HQ for the past 3 years since relocating from Colorado, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. With over 9 years of experience training at various schools, I can attest to the exceptional quality of instruction at Alliance HQ. Professor Leo is a true master of his craft. His attention to detail and dedication to his students’ progress are remarkable, as evidenced by the many world champions he has trained. The other instructors, including Rick, Yusuf, DJ, and Doc, are equally committed and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure everyone understands the techniques. One of the highlights of my week is the Saturday noon class. It’s rare to find such a large and skilled group, with up to 20 black belts on the mats at times, making for both tough and incredibly rewarding training sessions. If you’re looking for high-level jiu-jitsu instruction, Alliance HQ is the place to be!
Alliance Martial Arts Center has truly changed my life. As a woman in her 40s trying out a male-dominated sport, I was initially intimidated, but this center has completely reshaped my mindset. I used to think I could defend myself, but I quickly learned that self-defense, like any skill, requires dedication and practice. One class is not enough—it’s about consistent effort and following a structured curriculum. What I love most is that advancement here isn’t based on opinion; it’s based on mastering specific skills. If you’re looking for confidence, improved fitness, and a deeper understanding of your body’s capabilities, this is the place to be. Beyond that, I’ve found a community that feels like family, and friendships I never expected. If you’re ready for a life-changing experience, I highly recommend Alliance Martial Arts Center!
I started training at alliance a year ago and I am forever grateful to Doc and the whole alliance family. Doc is kind, patient, and is an excellent coach. He makes understanding difficult concepts into things that even I can understand. I love his noon class! It’s the highlight of my day. I can’t wait for my next year of Training!
What can I say about Alliance? The second you walk in those doors - you’re greeted by Corey at the front desk. One of the friendliest and most helpful guys. Able to answer any questions and calm any qualms you may have about starting BJJ. The instructors at Alliance HQ are world class. Head Instructor and Professor Leo - who teaches Intermediate and Advanced - is a World Champion and it’s evident in the way he instructs and the techniques he uses. He’s very patient and makes sure everyone understands concepts before moving on . (It takes me a couple times watching him drilling a technique before I’m able to do it 😅). Professor DJ, Professor Rick, Professor Jeffery, Professor Yusef, Coach Doc - all AMAZING educators in the art of BJJ. Each with their own style of teaching. The facility itself is clean, has ample mat space, clean bathrooms, and a sitting area. My kids are in the kids program and it is phenomenal. Not only do they learn the fundamentals of BJJ, but they also learn respect for one another and life lessons. Coach Doc (Head instructor for the kids program), Prof Yusef, Prof Rick, and Coach Kevin are all so great with the kids. They find a way to make the kids laugh and have fun with each class. I am a female that trains BJJ - and the female community at Alliance is so uplifting and empowering. The true meaning of girl power 💪. Alliance ATL as a whole functions as a large family. We all support and help one another out. There’s no where else I’d rather train and no other team I’d rather be on. To anyone reading this and having doubts on whether to join Alliance or even on the fence about trying BJJ - do it. It’ll be one of the best things you’ve ever done for yourself. ❤️
In town for IBJJF with my daughter and her coach (both competing). Very fortunate to find Alliance Atlanta. Both kids and adults were great for training. Very large mat space and facilities were clean. Felt very welcome there and will come back anytime while in Atlanta. I've been to lots of gyms and this is absolutely one of the best. If you are ready for an amazing improvement in your life, come try Alliance Atlanta. You won't be disappointed.
Such an amazing project experience!! Everyone was super friendly! They had separate areas for newer people and more advanced people. The facility was spacious and beautiful! 10/10! If you wanna be the best, you gotta train with the best!
I would highly recommend great instructors and a great environment to learn
World class place. I did a drop in class while visiting from our kids town. Intermediate class drilled three fundamental escapes from side control. Everyone felt safe and respectful to roll with.
Dropped in for a lunchtime class as a visiting black belt. Nice big crowd for the day and very friendly, very talented folks. Will definitely go back.
Awesome experience training here. Leo and the other trainers are very knowledgeable and engaging, and Ricky is always willing to help with whatever you need
Really nice and talented professor and students! Clean and welcoming gym. Can’t wait to train here again :)
Incredible instruction, culture, and community. If you are thinking about dropping in or checking out Jiu Jitsu, this is the place. Operated by world champions who are also world class people!
Amazing atmosphere, amazing people great coaching !
I dropped in to visit noon No Gi with Professor Leo last week and it’s was such a great class! I’ve used the technique he taught several times in rolls the following days, with lots of success already. Also, Leo stated rules for mat etiquette/ submissions amongst different belt levels before regular training began, which I appreciate the clarity, as a visitor, and if I was their regular student, would also think is so great when we have visitors because everyone is on the same page with the goal to be safe. Plenty of mat space and the members, even the ones who worked standing, had extremely good mat awareness. I train at another gym closer to where I live, but we’re so lucky to have Alliance headquartered in Atlanta. I take strength and conditioning classes, in the area, with several local Alliance competitors, and their gym’s culture of healthy athletes, has positively impacted me and my teammates to also prepare our bodies for the demands of jiu jitsu competition in a sustainable way. Plenty of safe training partners here, lots of female training partners in the class I took even though it was the middle of the day, the mats, facility, and women’s bathroom are clean. They have two shower stalls in the women’s bathroom which is awesome if you have to go back to work after training. The front desk staff was friendly and organized. This is a great place to train if you’re looking for a home gym, definitely check them out!
Alliance is one of the premiere Jiu-jitsu academies in the Metro Atlanta area, with world-class instruction and programs for all ages. I highly recommend Alliance to anyone who is looking to start training in this fast-growing martial art!
Amazing gym. Great people, great instructors, great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
I was traveling to Atlanta for the week and was hoping to find a good place to train. Alliance was even better than I had hoped. Everyone was super friendly, the instruction was top notch and the facility was clean. If you’re a local and looking to learn Brazilian jiu jitsu you should definitely consider Alliance!
Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Excellent instruction. Thank you for having me while I was visiting town...
Visited here while on a business trip to Atlanta. Fantastic instruction and a very welcoming environment with hard training. Loved it.
Excellent environment - staff, instructors, facility, and training partners. Very welcoming and high level. Highly recommend.
Dropped in while in town. Welcoming group of guys. Super high level, lots of people at all levels to train with.
We were a diverse group of guys visiting from out of town, gathering for an open mat session. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, with these individuals displaying professionalism and world-class skills. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together, and I wholeheartedly recommend the experience. It's a definite 10/10.
Super friendly people, welcomed me as a drop in from outta town, made me feel super welcome. Very knowledgeable professors. Big shoutout to Cory for hooking me up.
Great time with great instructors. I am from out of town and came for a drop in class and could not be happier I did. Alliance as always was top notch and fun night
Dropped in last month while travelling. Everyone was friendly and the facilities were clean and spacious. The instructors were great and the rolls were fantastic. Would definitely train here again and if you're in the Atlanta area and thinking of training, look no further.
I train here whenever I'm in the area. Clean, beautiful gym with lots of mat space. Great instructors and training partners. Really love this gym. Highly recommended.
Curious about martial arts? Curious about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? Self defense? Or just want a fun hobby that keeps you in shape? Do you like fun people? If you answered “yes” to any of these, look no further than Alliance! It has been a staple in the community for decades, and for many good reasons! Come take a few free trials and see for yourself.
Amazing training! Traveled to Atlanta for work 2x this year and training w Alliance is always the highlight of my trip! Instruction is super accessible, great practical techniques. Training partners are high level and great humans!!! Highly recommend to everyone.
Dropped in today and was greeted warmly by everyone. Instruction was concise and the rolls were fantastic, lots of really talented people in a great, clean space! Looking forward to coming back!
I had my first private lesson today with Doc Small. I received the most value from that 1 hour. He didn’t mind my many questions. His instruction was thorough, immaculate and he was nothing but patient and attentive. Im already eager to get another private lesson from him as soon as I can. I’d recommend requesting private lessons from Doc Small to anyone currently training or anyone who’s brand new to Jiu Jitsu.
Great place to train, the instructors are top notch and a great atmosphere
Total newbie to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), starting at over 50-years-old. I have been training at Alliance for about six weeks now and I cannot recommend them highly enough. At Alliance, the team takes their time, explains techniques and the why's behind them and has you drill with other novices under direct supervision so there's very little intimidation factor. The instructors are world-class, having a direct lineage to Professor Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti (one of only six individuals to receive his black belt from Rolls Gracie). Every single student has been nothing but kind and welcoming. I felt comfortable being there from day one and quickly got over the unease of close contact that comes with BJJ. The facility is clean and they have everything on hand that you need to get started. I have come to really look forward to my time training there several days a week. As one blue belt told me recently, "the hardest class you'll ever attend is your first class." If you're on the fence, try it... you'll never regret it.
I'm amazed at how easily our teacher explains, shows and having patients. She made it so simple and my children had fun. So, we'll definitely be back.
As a jiu jitsu practitioner at Alliance Atlanta, I can't say enough good things about this place. The facilities are impeccably clean and the mats are cleaned multiple times every day, which is crucial in a sport where hygiene is paramount. Alliance Atlanta sets the gold standard when it comes to prioritizing safety. Their commitment to ensuring a safe training environment is evident in every aspect of their program. For kids, Alliance offers the Eagles program, which is a fantastic way to teach the fundamentals of jiu jitsu and self-defense while instilling a strong sense of discipline and responsibility. The instructors go the extra mile to create a nurturing and secure environment for young practitioners, making it an ideal place for children to learn these valuable life skills. Alliance Atlanta is not just a jiu jitsu academy; it's a place where you have the incredible opportunity to learn from world-class instructors, who are not only highly skilled but also excellent at teaching and conveying their knowledge. It's also a place where you can train with students who are world champions. The level of expertise and skill you find here is unparalleled. Training alongside these champions is not only inspiring but also incredibly educational. The camaraderie among the students is fantastic, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner, the experience of learning from and testing your skills against the students at Alliance Atlanta is one of a kind. If you're serious about jiu jitsu, this is the place to be.
I had to privilege to drop in while visiting Atlanta. Staff was super friendly and kind. Large mat space; facility was clean. LEO NOGUEIRA taught the advanced class. Absolutely top notch instruction, he walked around and help me as a guest multiple times and I learned a great sweep with variations. Can’t say enough great things about his class and his kindness. I felt right at home training here. We did rounds at end of class: rolled with several blue, purple and brown belts. All where extremely friend and kind. And they where all excellent practitioners, excellent technique, humble. Overall I can’t say enough positive about this place. If I lived in Atlanta I would 100% train here. Thank you all for letting me drop in! OSS
I'm a brown belt from Checkmat in LA and I'm visiting ATL for work. When visiting Alliance everyone was very cool, Corey at the front desk and very welcoming as well as Professor Leo. The curriculum is really well structured and the rolls were good. Definitely coming back when I'm back in town. Ossss!
Grateful for the warm embrace of Alliance Martial Art. Thank you for your hospitality.
One of the best gyms in the world to train. Amazing instruction and vibe. Highly recommended.
The best of the best! Alliance headquarters here in the USA! Full of top notch instructors and competitors, this place also specializes in starting beginners out on the correct path to learn BJJ. No matter what your level, or if you have never trained but want to start, this is THE place in the Atlanta area to train BJJ!
I was in town and looking for a place to train, and I settled on Alliance because I normally train with an Alliance gym in Texas. The gym was spacious and clean. The instructors and members were all very welcoming and gracious. I could tell the skill level of their members and instructors was top notch, and I never felt unsafe or like anyone was out to prove a point. My gym only has one other adult female, so it was nice to get some rolls in with females my size and skill level. Whenever I’m in Atlanta, I’ll continue to visit this Alliance location.
Amazing instruction and training
The folks there are great 10/10. Nice clean gym can’t beat it!
Great, highly recommend. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable
World Class Instruction, awesome training, with a touch of southern hospitality. I travel for work and try to train at the local schools when I can so I dropped in for the advanced class at Alliance Atlanta. Hands down, one of the best. Staff, students and coaches were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Leo taught a great class. Everyone trains hard and has fun.. great atmosphere with tons of talent. If I lived in Atlanta, this would be my spot.. no question. Thanks for everything guys.. keep crushing it!
I have attended Alliance for four months now. Recently I switched from beginner's level to an intermediate level. I like the structure of learning process with gradually growing intensity and difficulty, continuous repetition of material, and help from instructors and more experienced students. I really like presence of shower rooms in the facility. Flexibility of the schedule allows many choices of convenient days for training.
My husband and I choose Alliance Martial Arts Center Headquarters for the incredible curriculum and authentic history which brought Brazilian Jiu Jitsu here in United States. If you wish to learn from the SOURCE, if you wish to compete, if you wish to understand, and not just memorize the moves, this place is for you! It has been 5 months since we joined this school, and I have to say that curriculum and professionalism with paying attention to every person and every detail makes this school an UNIVERSITY. This school puts standard on what Martial Art school should look like! Regardless, if you wish to compete or not, there is always something to learn here. All ages are welcome, from 5 years old to 100 years old! I am more than impressed! Jiu-Jitsu does not come easy for me. But I feel the support of my professors and teammates every step of the way. In the competitive World, Alliance is the number ONE school! So, what can be better than learning from CHAMPIONS?!
World champion world class instructors. Everyone should have access to the science of Alliance Jiu Jitsu.
Very clean and professional gym with talented instructors. Got some good rolls in and learned a couple of cool techniques while visiting for a drop in. Very welcoming and communication was great from the reception staff. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Attended a seminar today. There was 15 black belts and probably 50 people in total! The instruction was great and ended with some amazing rolls!
The best Jiu Jitsu school around. I have trained at Alliance for a few years and just love the place. The instructors are all excellent and extraordinarily helpful, and it really starts to feel like a family when you settle in. Undoubtedly worth every penny.
Best Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym around. I have been a member for almost two years and I would never consider training anywhere else. We are more than a gym- we are family.
I’m evacuated from New Orleans for Ida. I was immediately made welcome. Professor is very knowledgeable and supportive. I’m a 49 year old female white belt who is exhausted. No of that was an issue. I wish I could name names but I don’t know anyone yet really. That didn’t matter. I was welcomed and taught good things.
Great group of guys to train with. Dropped in from out of town and all the instructors and students were very hospitable. It was nice to meet an outstanding black belt Leo Nogueira. Highly recommend anyone to stop by if you’re not from the area.
Excellent place to train with great people and great instructors. Leo Nogueira is one of the best instructors in the world and is an overall good person w/ exceptional character. All the other instructors are great and the founder is of course a legend and father figure to many of his students. Real Jiu Jitsu for everyone exists here.... Alliance all the way...
Hands down the best training I have ever had. I've been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Alliance for over 10 years, and after visiting gyms all over the world, I can say with confidence that you will not find a gym anywhere with this many high level training partners or with this level of instruction. If you're looking to train BJJ in Atlanta then this is where you need to be.
You cannot train at a better place in Atlanta. It is the tip of the sword. 3 World Champions have taught here over the last 14 years and led by a living Legend, Jacare.
This place has changed my life! I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when I was 15 years old. Seventeen years later through the instruction at Alliance, I have learned key disciplines that have helped me through my entire life, such as determination, consistency, confidence, among many others! Alliance has had incredible multiple time world champion instructors such as Cobrinha, Lucas Lepri, and now Leo Nogueira. At Alliance you will find the true culture of Jiu Jitsu as we were founded by a great pioneer of the art, master Jacare, who for decades has helped spread Jiu Jitsu throughout the world. Simply put, his passion and enthusiasm for Jiu Jitsu are palpable! I strongly recommend that everyone tries Jiu Jitsu, and does it at Alliance!
Great environment for learning and practicing the art. Come train with us!
Fantastic instructors, amazing people and a safe training environment!
If you're looking to train jiu jitsu and want to learn from the best, Alliance is the place. Young or old, it doesn't matter. You will train with world champions and be part of a team that I consider more like a family. The instructors are second to none with knowledge of all aspects of martial arts. Whether you're interested in competing, self defense or just fun and fitness, Alliance will train you right. I am extremely lucky to train with such a top notch group.
Alliance Martial Arts is the first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in Atlanta. Jacare brought Jiu Jitsu to Atlanta in 1996 and I started training with Alliance in 1999. One of the best decisions of my life. My children and myself were given an opportunity to train under a true master of martial arts, a dream of mine since I was a kid. 22 years later I am still training at Alliance and I really believe it is the best martial arts school in the world.
The instructors at this gym are fantastic, these guys are legit... I learned so much in just a year and a half there, got amazing experience rolling with all different types of people and got in incredible shape while having fun and growing as a person. I had to move across the country for work and found that this place is what I miss most about home.. Oss!!
Super fun! Everyone is nice and very helpful with the techniques that I struggle with.
Changed my life:)
My favorite BJJ gym in Atlanta. Wish I didn't have to drive all the way out to Shallowford, but beggars can't be choosers. Also, it can be a little pricey (I think I paid $50 to drop in) but well worth it for all the black belts you get to train with.
I have been training at Alliance for one year and they are a top-notch Jujitsu school. I was hesitant to start training Jujitsu at the age of 39 but Corei, their operations director kept insisting that I take the free trial classes. After taking the trial classes I enrolled without hesitating. I learned a lot of self-defense techniques in the past year and I lost ten pounds in the process. My cholesterol levels are back to what they used to be when I was twenty. The training sessions are intense and demand a level of commitment. The instructors are all very knowledgeable, Leo is the head instructor and a world champion, Austin is very technical and heads the youth and fundamentals classes, Yusef gives us the most demanding warm-ups and self-defense drills, all their instructors are very attentive and their teaching structure allows students to train in a controlled environment (fundamentals classes) before you start “rolling” (sparring). The vibe among students is predominantly of sportsmanship and camaraderie. The more experienced practitioners are usually willing to share their knowledge with the less graduated ones. Jujitsu is a contact sport and there are occasional lite injuries, but the instructors are understanding and will allow students to skip certain techniques if they don’t feel ready or able. They do their best to match you with a training partner that has a similar weight and skill level. All in all, it has been great to train at Alliance and I look forward to enrolling my son once he is old enough to start.
Great school to learn the art of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. The owners and teachers are all knowledgeable, nice and really want to see you grow and learn. They have a lot of options for class times which is a plus for people who have a busy life and work schedule. Definitely would recommend this school if you are wanting to learn good, strong martial arts. I Highly recommend this school!
Visiting from out of town. The people here were extremely nice and welcoming. The instructors are top notch. If you are in Atlanta and looking to train, this is the place!
Best training partners in Atlanta, lots of style variety and sizes of athletes. If you want to up your BJJ game this is the place to train. -You're only as good as your training partners-
The environment is friendly and the staff is very kind. The jiujitsu class for kids is amazing!
If you value master instructors, structured programs and a fun and supportive training environment,. Then Alliance Atlanta is your only choice. 😀
I have only been training here for a few months, but my experience here has been nothing short of great. If you do your homework you will quickly realize that this is one of the most reputable schools in the world. You will also receive instruction, that is a class above the rest. I feel very fortunate to live near by and be able to train at a facility like this.
I am 37 years old and have been training here for 9 months. I hated going to a regular gym so a friend recommend I try this place. So far I have lost 50 lbs and feel amazing. You get personal training, health coaching, and great instructors all under one roof. The atmosphere is friendly and positive. I highly recommend this place.
I joined Alliance 8 years ago when I was 54 years old. Since my Army days I've maintained a high level of fitness and joined Alliance on a dare from a friend. BJJ has improved my coordination 10 fold and increased my cardio. The instructors are all world class including several World Champions. The most important aspect of Alliance is it's not a churn operation out for money, it's about friends and family.
Great place to be! I have 2 kids that are also Training there. It's a family thing for myself and kids as well as my new Alliance family. Love it!!!
Everyone should take bjj and everyone should take it here. Your training partners will become your family and this will become your second home. The instructors are world-class and they genuinely care about your well-being and progress. I have been here for three years and plan on staying with the team as long as I train bjj. 💜
Great school! Amazing instructors and a lot of black belts to learn from!
Alliance HQ is a world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training environment. I visited on 21DEC and attended the 12pm and 7:30pm Gi classes. There were about 6 black belts, including Romero “Jacaré” Cavalcanti, in the school even at the 12pm Wednesday class! The people were welcoming and professional. Everyone from the world champions to the blue belts was friendly. The mat space was large and clean. They had on site shower and bath/locker room facilities. The instruction was incredible and very well prepared/organized. The classes I attended were taught by multiple time world champion Leonardo Nogueira. He made sure to walk around the room giving individualized attention to perfect the techniques being taught. The live sparring was tough, long, and productive. Go here if you want to be the best no matter your current skill level. I loved the experience and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I will say again that this school is INCREDIBLE.
Whether you're interested in competitive jiu jitsu, or (like me) just self-defense and self-improvement, the Alliance instructors are world class, and the students are respectful & cooperative training partners. A great place to learn...check em out!
This place is incredible! You get the opportunity to train with world champions every day and the instruction is incredible. Definitely the best place for beginners all the way up to world champion competitors. Clean facility and friendly instructors and members. Highly recommend joining the Alliance family!
I just found out about jiu jitsu a month ago. Alliance was doing a women's self defense course so I decided to see what it was all about. Wow! Not only is jiu jitsu the best martial art for women but the gym members at alliance were so helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. Corey is great at keeping in contact and letting you know what is going on next. Austin is a skilled teacher and makes you feel comfortable at every step. Thanks!
The best school for sparring, training, and self defense. This school will draw you in and force you to become better.
As someone who has always struggled with my weight I was looking for something other than your standard gym for exercise but little did I know that joining Alliance would actually change my life. Alliance has world class instruction and very large facilities and everyone is like a family.
Alliance Martial Arts is head and shoulders above any other school in the Southeast. I've trained all over the world, with world class guys and competitors, and I can with confidence tell you that Alliance is one of these top of the mountain, world class schools. I drive almost an hour to get to training and I pass 5 other schools on my way. If you're anywhere within driving distance, don't waste your time any where else. Come to the best.
Not a fan of management.. Instructor Leo Nogueira is excellent and there is a place here for competitors as well as hobbyists.
I have to start by saying that this review pertains only to membership maintenance and billing, not to the trainers at Alliance. In fact, I am extremely grateful for the introduction to Jiu Jitsu. I've learned a lot, especially from Doug, who is very patient with us beginners. It was a wonderful learning experience for both me and my husband. However, if the owner or manager is reading this, I implore you to hire someone specifically to manage membership and facilitate communication between your members and your billing company. When we signed the contracts, Corey, the main salesperson we spoke with, mentioned that we could pause the membership for a month if our schedule changed. When I needed to pause due to a medical procedure, I was informed that I had to notify him at least a week before the next billing cycle. This was inconvenient as I couldn't manage it myself online; everything had to go through him. I let that slide. A few months later, I had a follow-up procedure and made sure to text Corey early. I received no response or confirmation and was still billed that month. I dismissed it, thinking of it as a contribution to the trainers. The problem intensified after my contract ended. I continued to see charges. When I contacted Corey, he claimed the contract was extended by a month because I had paused it, even though he never confirmed the pause, and I had seen the charges anyway. He said he would look into it but never followed up. Now a few months after our contracts have ended, we've received calls from the billing company threatening to send our account to collections. I've texted Corey again and left voicemails with no response. Having moved out of Georgia, we can't visit the studio in person to locate the right person for escalation. At this point, I am so desperate that I am leaving a Google review in hopes of drawing some attention to this issue. Please apply the discipline you teach in class to other aspects of your business. This situation is ridiculous and nobody should have to endure such issues. I urge the management to immediately address these concerns and implement a more efficient system for handling membership management. Failing to resolve these billing discrepancies not only affects us but also reflects poorly on your otherwise reputable establishment. I am currently considering legal advice to protect our credit, and I hope it won’t be necessary with your prompt attention to this matter. I left a voice mail again just now, please call us back!
