Outstanding Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school. As a middle aged guy, I was worried if I could physically handle starting BJJ. The school and students are wonderful and welcoming. They make a strong point to ensure people don't get hurt, the upper belts are amazingly helpful and kind and even when practicing with them, they stop as needed and walk you through what to do and how to do it right. They'll also stop you when you're heading towards inadvertently getting yourself hurt. I love that the professor (instructor) calls out "listen everyone, we're going to take this one slowly and carefully. This is not a competition, this is a random Tuesday night and no one is winning a prize for getting hurt, so let's go slow and careful". Alliance has really outstanding instructors and upper belts. A number of times I had what I thought was a silly question but never felt silly asking. They take all the time needed to walk through whatever is needed slowly and repeatedly to make sure everyone understands and feels comfortable. The workout is amazing but very doable. An hour class works way more of my body than any workout at a gym and as a bonus, I'm learning how to defend myself at the same time. I've dabbled with other martial arts but felt like I wouldn't really be effective in a street scenario for a long time, but BJJ is the opposite. After the first couple of months, I feel like I know enough that I'd at least be able to stop and contain most untrained people in a street scenario. Really great confidence boost. Overall, if you're considering taking Jiu Jitsu or just want a full body workout that will leave you wiped, but wanting more, this is the place to go. It's a family owned business that really does care about the students and helps everyone progress at the right pace for them.

This review is way overdue but like most chapters in life, it’s never too late especially starting your BJJ journey. My daughter has attended this dojo going on 5yrs and I recently started because I felt it was time. If you’re looking for a BJJ school that has a positive training culture and offers a variety of class times, this is your new 2nd home. You’ll fall in love with this place after your trial class!

A co-worker of mine trains here, I have been down twice to train with him. On both occasions Professor Nei was very welcoming as well as the other blackbelts. Solid classes both times and a great group. Oss.

After a three-month break, my brother invited me to an open mat, and it was a great experience. The gym was super clean, and Sensei Nei was very welcoming. Everyone was friendly, and the sparring was solid, with great rolls and a respectful vibe. The facilities, including the shower, were well-maintained. Overall, an awesome place to train!

Alliance has been an incredible experience for our entire family! My son, two daughters, and I all train here, and we couldn’t be happier with the atmosphere and instruction. Professor Nei Seda is phenomenal his expertise, dedication, and passion for teaching BJJ are unmatched. He truly cares about each student’s progress and creates an environment that feels both challenging and supportive. The gym is clean, organized, and fosters a strong sense of community. We’ve all grown so much, not only in our BJJ skills but also in confidence, fitness, and discipline. Alliance has become a second home for us, and we’re grateful to be part of this amazing team!
