My ten year old just started attending their classes and it has been one of the best decisions. The classes are great and the instructors are very engaging and attentive. My son always looks forward to his classes. It is the highlight of his day! Thank you so much ALCHEMY for being a safe place for kids to come together not only to learn some cool MMA disciplines, learn team work, and have a sense of camaraderie, but also for being a place that we can call our 2nd Family!

We’ve been taking our 3 year old son to Alchemy Martial Arts for about a month now and we love it. Our boy is super active, gets easily distracted and doesn’t really like to follow instructions. Nick and the other teachers have been nothing short of amazing with our son. They’ve been giving him such special attention and doing an amazing job to help to incorporate him into the group setting. They’ve been treating him like he’s part of the family and that’s exactly what we were looking for. My son loves it so much and asks to go back every day. We are so glad we found this place and Nick. We can’t wait for our youngest to be able to join his big brother in the future.

The Senseis are all friendly and responsive. They have been working with my son to help build his confidence. The monthly events are fun for the kids and they seem to get along with everyone there. I recommend Alchemy to anyone who is interested.

Alchemy is an amazing place! When we first move to Long Island, We were looking for a place where our son could work out and become more active! But boy we soon found out that this place offered him so much more, it quickly became like his second home, He is constantly motivated, inspired to do more and be better. Sensei Nick has built a community where kids from all backgrounds come to fall in love with this sport, the classes are fun, the instructors are knowledgeable and committed to make sure our children have the best experience. I can’t recommend Alchemy enough. This is a place where some of the best childhood memories are made!

This gym is amazing. I believe my grandson would say “This establishment is peak”. I’ve been doing MMA for 57 years and this is the best school I’ve ever attended. I cannot recommend it enough. Go check it out if you are interested in MMA.

Nick and his team are incredible! I have a 3yr old highly energetic and overall difficult child behaviorally. He can follow directions and is very smart but he’s anxious with new situations and has a really tough time controlling his impulses. This has not stopped Nick and Ko from inviting him back every week!!! In just a few short weeks they have come so far with him. Some may have said he was too young but they saw potential and know just how much this could truly benefit him. I recommend this team highly!!!

Alchemy MMA, Sensei Nick and his staff are a consistent source of encouragement, friendship, health and fitness for my 12 year old son. Alchemy MMA also offers many free events for the kids and their families such as parent and child classes, summer picnics and holiday parties. It's been an all around great experience for our family!

Nick and Alchemy gave me a gym home when I moved out to Setauket. It's a very warm, supportive environment where you can work at whatever level you're at -- beginners to advanced can all be comfortable here. Nick's personalized attention is amazing.

Nick and his team have been fantastic with my kids. They’re unique approach to classes keep my kids disciplined and having fun every time they come down. They can’t get enough of it and if they’re happy, I’m happy. Would highly recommend for anyone in the Three Village area looking to get their kid involved in a new hobby or after school activity.

Sensei Steve may be one of the best instructors of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you will find on the Island. Never met anyone so enthusiastic about instructing martial arts. He is incredibly patient with new students. A school filled with a fantastic atmosphere and creative spirit. All the instructors are always looking to learn and expand their own knowledge of the sport.

If you are looking for an experience that offers your children improved coordination and self-esteem, consider Alchemy Martial Arts and Fitness of Setauket. The owner, and head instructor Nick Panebianco has an amazing passion towards teaching and supporting children. The children classes are well balanced with fun and provide skill instruction and drills to develop physical and mental confidence. The classes focus on teaching leadership, cardiovascular fitness, Kempo, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and real life self defense. The school is kept clean, and provides a comfortable parent viewing area. The viewing area includes a large screen flat television that allows you to watch your children during the class. My children have attended other karate schools in the past, and they have not come close to the level of professionalism and quality of instruction that they have received with Sensei Nick at Alchemy Martial Arts and Fitness of Setauket. Sensei Nick's high energy level is consistent and contagious with the children. However, he is able to maintain a balanced level of discipline and respect. He is like the karate pied piper of East Setauket. Alchemy Martial Arts and Fitness of Setauket offers cardio kickboxing and adult martial arts classes. The cardio kickboxing is a great class for beginners through advanced levels for adults looking for a great work-out.

Alchemy MMA is best workout you can get. The environment is like no other. Students are challenged to push themselves in every class. Self improvement is everyone's goal. There are a lot of great reviews for the younger kids but I feel it is very important to mention the adult classes. Not only are the instructors interactive but the entire class looks out for each other and we grow and improve together. Like I said before.......great environment and people!!!

Never had a workout before like this in my life. Mixed martial arts training has pushed my fitness to a whole new level thanks to the head instructor Nick. He also has an uncanny knack for finding out just how each students mind works to help them understand all the techniques. I've seen him teach across the board to kids as young as 4 to full grown men and woman; the results are always fantastic!

Sensei Nick is the best! I take his Cardio Kickboxing and Adult Kempo & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu every week. Kickboxing offers a great class combining cardio, strength training, and basic fighting techniques. It provides you with the knowledge of self defense while you get an awesome workout. It's such a fun way to keep in shape. The adult classes are just as fun and still laid back while giving you a much deeper knowledge of martial arts. Learning both standing fighting and fighting on the ground, everything is controlled and everyone leaves class having learned something new. Sensei Nick focuses on the traditional art as well as the modern art and he is always willing to slow down help his students in class or even stay after class to provide them with a better understanding. Everyone at VMA has such great vibes and we all see each other like family. Sensei Nick has such a strong passion for everything he does and for all of the people who help support the school and come take class. I highly recommend VMA!

I have been training at the school since its inception in november 2011 and it has offered me the best martial arts experience i have ever had. The instructors and masters focus on the beauty of the art and also on the effectiveness/devastating nature when applied for self defense. I would highly recommend this dojo for anyone interested in learning about the art of kempo and jiu jitsu.
