A community, not just a gym. I've been with AKMA for almost 3 years. AKMA is a truly supportive community, and the instructors are patient and encouraging. Join if you're ready to learn to be a real fighter. This is not an easy course, but it's well worth it. It's not just about the physical journey. The AKMA gives you tools to make your mind and your body your ally. I highly recommend this not just as a self-defense course, but as a well-rounded tool kit for all of life. Put in the work, and you'll see your self-confidence grow alongside your stature.
Posted 1 year agoIf you are looking to learn effective self defense and learn a lot about yourself in the process, then AKMA is the correct place for you! The instructors are respectful, knowledgeable, and will push you to challenge yourself and grow. Will definitely recommend AKMA to anyone who is interested in starting their martial arts journey!
Posted 2 years agoAKMA has been a great experience. The instructors, Senpai’s and Shihan are all top notch at teaching the fundamentals of Kenpo. These lessons are meant to filter into your lives as well. It’s not just about learning to fight. The way they interact with and challenge the children in the younger classes is great as well. Whether you’re an adult wanting to challenge yourself in a martial art, or you have a child who you want to learn self defense and discipline, I highly recommend AKMA.
Posted 2 years agoThis is the best organized sports/gym environment I’ve ever been in. The instructors and students are respectful, encouraging and disciplined. Cannot recommend the adult classes enough, and the kids classes are loved too.

Posted 10 years agoWhen I joined AKMA ten months ago I thought it would be a fun way to exercise and also learn some self defense techniques at the same time - I never expected it would actually improve my spirit, my confidence, and my life. If you are looking for incredibly knowledgeable, patient teachers to shape you as a warrior and a human being, to train you in philosophy as well as technique, looking for personal growth physically and introspectively as well as a wonderfully supportive group of people to inspire you, AKMA is the place for you.
