We love 10th Planet Burbank for our 5 year old! She loves learning all the moves and we love how she is learning how to use her body and protect herself. The coaches are all amazing, and give great one-on-one support. Manny was so helpful when we were inquiring. He was the only one out of top three jiu jitsu studios in the area who would give me an actual answer on pricing and kept communication open and clear. I really appreciate that.

As someone visiting from out of town, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at 10th Planet Burbank! The gym was exceptionally clean, and everyone I rolled with was incredibly kind and welcoming. Manny, black belt, is fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and truly someone you can learn a lot from. I’ve trained at multiple gyms, and this is hands down the most welcoming one I’ve visited. If you’re ever in the area, this is definitely a spot to keep on your radar. Highly recommend!

This is my second review for 10th planet jiu-jitsu. In Burbank. I've been here a little over 2 years and the level of instruction in my opinion has been world class. From day 1 you learn techniques that are affective in combat not just look fancy. I particularly appreciate that wrestling is incorporated into our training and techniques are demonstrated with the effectiveness in MMA, self defense and sport. Further more, speaking for myself coach Josh has helped me navigate through my metal blacks and struggles I've encountered throughout my journey in this martial art. Every instructor will work with you and teach you with the abilities you come in with, (from beginner to advanced). I Highly recommend 10th planet Burbank.

I came here last year and was quickly humbled by the level of talent that many of the athletes possess. The white belts felt like blue belts and the blue belts felt like purple belts. I myself am a purple belt and have competed at every level and these dudes were nice! I had a chance to roll with one of the instructors named Chris and recently when I came back this time with another named Josh and they felt like what true black belts should feel like, poised, impenetrable defenses and dangerous from any position. The most impressive thing about this gym is the attention to detail. The reason everyone is so good is because of the effort that Manny and Jared put into teaching their students. They are meticulous with their instruction and it makes all the difference. I tried many gyms in this area and this had to be one of if not THE BEST one. Hope to come by and roll again. OSS

Blackbelt’s Manny Mora and Jared Carlsten are true masters of their Jiujitsu discipline. The environment was impeccable and clean. The team vibe was courteous and focused and it definitely enhanced the experience. I would recommend this Tenth planet academy to any novice or master grappler

My son and I both train at 10th Planet Burbank. The kid’s classes that he attends are led by highly skilled instructors who take the time to help the students learn collectively and individually. The adult classes are loaded with talented and high-level practitioners willing to share their knowledge with the newer people. It’s always a great atmosphere. Training here has helped my son and I get stronger physically and mentally as individuals, but the experience of training together has created a bond between us that is very rare and incredibly rewarding. I would highly recommend 10th Planet Burbank.

First time at a 10th Planet. Very impressed with Eddie’s system and the instruction at the Burbank, Ca location. Jared, head BJJ instructor, was very welcoming to me training with them since I was in town for Christmas. Highly recommend.

Great place to train no-gi jiu jitsu! Jared is a phenomenal instructor, no ego, plenty of patience, and is a great mentor to all of his students. Moreover, great training partners too! Although I've trained at other places, some better than others, 10th Planet Burbank's approach really had me retain what they were teaching and had me build on what I already knew. PLENTY of drilling! Everyday I left having learned something new or refined some other aspect of a particular technique.
