We couldn’t be happier with the Muay Thai classes for our 14-year-old son. From day one, the experience has been amazing. The coaches are not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but also extremely supportive and encouraging. They truly care about the growth and confidence of each student, and it shows in every session. Our son has gained not just strength and technique, but also discipline, focus, and self-esteem. The environment is positive, respectful, and motivating—perfect for teens. It’s clear that this gym is dedicated to excellence and building a strong community. Highly recommend this gym to any parent looking to get their child into Muay Thai or martial arts in general. Truly a top-tier experience!

Coach Marco and Coach Bob are collectively a class act. I came in for a 10 day free trial in January 2025, and was immediately hooked! I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but what happened—everyone was kind, patient and respectful. This practice is gender-leveling, highly athletic, and incredibly addictive. The instructors break down the basics, slowly at first, so that everyone can learn according to their own abilities. I highly recommend trying a class.

One of the best gyms in North Texas! Whether you're new to martial arts or coming in with some experience, you'll fit right in! Head coach Marco and his staff is very nice and supportive and will help you reach your goals!

My 7 year old son has been training at Aguilera Martial Arts for a little over a year now and has been learning so much, making friends, and having a blast while learning some high level Jiu Jitsu. We started at another gym when he was 5 and had a negative experience. I remember visiting multiple gyms trying to find a replacement and when we arrived here at Aguilera Martial Arts my son was really happy to see the huge gym space, friendly students who welcomed him and Professor Marco, his son Coach Marco and Coach Blade who were friendly and welcoming! There is a HUGE difference at Aguilera Martial Arts. Here is what I have noticed in a year. #1) Professionalism - Professor Marco is a Certified Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and is certified under IBJJF and has the knowledge, competition experience and patience to teach children, teenagers and adults. He is also a BANG Muay Thai Instructor and Practitioner. Professor Marco appreciates feedback from parents and students. He runs the gym with a calm discipline and students respect each other and emulate that attitude. #2) Credibility - Did you know Aguilera Martial Arts is the official training center for Prosper Police Department? Professor Marco was recently nominated for citizen of merit award by the Town of Prosper for his work on helping the Prosper Police Department with their self Defense Tactics Training Program. #3) Lineage and Knowledge - When you train under Professor Marco, you will join a wonderful lineage and the knowledge passed on from one Master to another. Professor Marco is highly knowledgeable and most importantly he breaks highly complex techniques in a way any kid or adult can understand. If you are wanting to try Jiu Jitsu or want to enroll your kids don't wait another day. We are so glad to be a part of this gym and know Professor Marco and the Aguilera Martial Arts family!!

I couldn’t of asked for a better BJJ gym to go to. Even though I just started my BJJ journey, I was immediately welcomed into the family here. Within a short period, it was easy to see the good quality and character of the people and coaches here. I never felt like I was ignored because I was just a “new guy”. I always appreciate the constructive criticism from my Coach Marco, who has helped me learn a lot in such a short period. Coach Marco has been a great teacher and always maintains a good attitude. I am glad he is easy to speak to and has been open to answer all my novice questions. There are also lots of students here at various skill levels, so you won’t have a problem finding a good training partner. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who is in the area.
