Coach Charlie and his crew are excellent coaches. The atmosphere is challenging but fun. Though I didn't stay at the location long I can truly say you'll get top notch training and have a blast doing it!
I had the pleasure of my first Jiu-Jitsu class ever! Coach Charley & Coach Bryson make something which should be taught to everyone as self defense into a game to build self esteem and athletic skills supporting the integrity of the soul, mind, and body. I look forward to another slice of their wisdom, humor, and up beat tenacity.
Aces is an incredible place if you're into martial arts, very professional with highly skilled coaches that do their best to support you no matter where you're at in your journey, Im very happy to be a member
Best jiu jitsu school for Fort Worth
Charles Blanchard is fantastic at getting the best from each individual.
I’m an out of town drop in prepping for a major event. The gun is clean and well run. Mikal is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and friendly — he reached out to me in a Facebook group to let me come train for the entire long weekend I’m in town. Cannot say enough good things about this gym. Whatever your goals are — fitness, self defense, MMA, or just a new hobby, Aces Jiu Jitsu Club is the place to go! From having a 3rd degree black belt as an owner to having a former pro MMA fighter as a coach, anybody of any skillset will benefit training here.
Great coaching and good environment to learn martial arts.
Came in today and had such a good time, the coach was so patient and just kept pushing me to do better and better he wasn’t leaving me a hanging with training the other that’s were advanced. I cant wait to come back! This inspired me to get better and keep going
I was just visiting for the day, got some great training in and was welcomed with open arms.
First, I would like to thank Aces BJJ & MMA for allowing me to train with them. So, Before I leave a review let me tell you a little about me. I think the understanding of BJJ & MMA Gyms helps in completing a good review. Like anything great it’s all in the details. I’m 50-year-old and currently a BJJ Brown Belt. I’ve been in martial arts since I was 12 and in & out of BJJ & MMA gyms since 2006. I have also had to opportunity to train with some high-level instructors over my journey. So here is my review of Aces BJJ, So, on Jan 14, 2023, I walked into Aces with no appointment or reservation. I was immediately greeted at the front door by Charles Blanchard. I explained that I was in town for the day and asked if I may train with them. What a welcome, It was like I was a relative visiting from out of town. You all way hear of BJJ brother hood. This place lives it. I was welcomed with no hesitation. Once on the mat I was blown away by the detail in which the instructions were given. As I mentioned earlier all great things are in the details and, Coach Charles and Amador got it. I was told that some of the guys had only been training for a year or less which was amazing of how technical they were. Those things can’t only be taught through great coaching. So to some it up, this place is AWESOME and enjoy every minute. THANKS GUYS FOR AN AMAZING TIME.
The instructors here are very welcoming and encouraging to people of all levels.
Amazing experience, great coaches, and killer students. Came into train for a week and received nothing but hospitality and top tier instruction.
Awesome club and staff. Really enjoy the atmosphere and training. Perfect for all skill levels.
I’ve tried out a few gyms over the years and Aces is by far the best. The coaches and staff as well as the other men and women that train there are always extremely welcoming. Along with that, they know how to train anyone, from no experience to 10+ years of experience. I signed up for a year on my initial visit because of this. Unfortunately a work change among other things have made it hard to be as consistent as I like, still worth the investment in my opinion!
Aces is the place to be if you want to learn jujitsu, Muay Thai and self defense. But also most importantly humility, growth mentality and physically. With such a professional coaching staff along with ownership. I have made fast progress with my training in just 5 weeks! My training partners continue to build me up as we get stronger together each passing session. Aces jujitsu is more than a gym. it has made my bad days good days. While making my week mind a strong mind. There is no where else I would rather be than with my team and friends at aces jujitsu in Fort Worth Texas!
With classes led by the expertise of Professor Blanchard and Coach Amador in both Muy Thai and BJJ, I come to every session eager to learn new skills and techniques. This gym has gave me a sense of belonging as I am new to Fort Worth, and I am grateful for the awesome people I have met training there the past couple of months.
Great gym, great coaches, great people, and great workouts. Never fought before but had an interest in learning and it’s been worth every penny. Skill level doesn’t matter you’ll learn through consistency. Highly recommend you check it out
I've been training here a few months, everyone from the coaches to the other students, are all incredibly supportive. No matter what we do we do as a team. It's like having a family that hits each other
This place offers much better individual attention than any other school. A very passionate and dedicated tribe of warriors.
Awesome gym, awesome coaches! Very well rounded in MMA & jiu jitsu!
I first came here because I knew a couple people that trained here and I was very nervous. I had wrestled previously but no other training. I was going thru a ton when I started. They helped me realize I'm part of a family here at aces and family is here for each other. And the quality of the training at this gym is amazing. I'm a person that needs to understand the why we do things a certain way and they always are open to questions coach charley and Amador are amazing instructors and really take the time out to make sure you understand what you're doing and are doing it correctly. There is no judgment and everyone is always helpful
I’ve been training at Aces Jiu Jitsu Club in Fort Worth for a couple of months now. I’ve trained for over 30 years in multiple parts of the country. Aces has great instructors, very good training, and a great atmosphere.
Love the gym, for a plus size woman their warmth, acceptance, and patience means a lot. definitely will be staying.
Love this place. Professor Charley and coach amador both love what they do and it really shows in the way they teach which makes learning from these guys an amazing experience. The community here is also amazing, aces has become like a 2nd home and family to me. Very grateful to have found this gym.
I am from out of state and was visiting a friend. I took an intro lesson here when I tagged along with my friend who was already a student. Great group of peers. Everyone was treated equally and with respect no matter the age, gender, or race. I felt welcomed even as a beginner. Their existing students were extremely helpful and non-judgmental when partnering with a newbie like me. The coaches encouraged questions. They emphasized quality techniques over speed. "Slowness leads to smoothness, smoothness leads to quickness," was the motto. I stayed long enough to witness a behind the scenes look at how the coaches built the community. Outside of quality teaching, they only accept quality pupils. Coming in with an "I want to break everything," or "I'm only about myself," attitude will likely be shown the exit. No wonder everyone were so helpful. I witnessed students with every physique. Openness commitment to learn, improve, and help others were the vibes I got.
Great gym, good people and very good coaches. They will correct you and teach you the right way so you can keep improving on a daily basis.
Top notch guys and top notch gym!! If you want to learn something Professor Charley and coach Amador are the best guys in Fort Worth to teach you!!
Great gym, they actually care about your progress unlike a lot of gyms who just want your money. I won my first competition after 3 weeks of training with them and I had no prior experience, just shows how great the coaches are
I started training Muay Thai here in February and it has been a great experience. I have never done any martial arts before so I felt out of my element at first, but the coaches quickly made me feel welcome and at home. I have heard that a lot of other gyms will focus primarily on their students who compete frequently and ignore new and inexperienced students. This is not the case at Aces- the coaches here will give ample attention to everyone. Whether you're new like me or a more experienced fighter, Aces is definitely worth it.
I visited this gym while I was in town and it was awesome! I learned a lot and was surrounded by other people wanting to learn as well. I'll definitely be visiting again!
Do not hesitate to join if you’re a beginner! I am a beginner and they are incredibly good at teaching us!
Aces Jiu jitsu club in Fort Worth The Gym it’s super Fantastic . Amazing staff Great we can have place like that in Fort Worth
Amazing technique coupled with dedicated and attentive staff make this the perfect place to crush your goals! High level understanding of member interaction, making the experience incredible! If you've ever thought about getting in to train, this is your sign!
Terrible location. Terrible service. I scheduled a consultation for my daughter who was very exited to attend and hopefully become interested in jujitsu. But the location was closed. The number listed does not work. Terrible service and terrible response. No thank you to this place. My consultation was scheduled for 1pm. Location says it closes at 1:30pm. Doors were locked at 1pm.
This gym is a big scam they will continuously rob you of your money until you have to get your bank involved and the coaches do very heavy drugs I’ve found needles in the restrooms and heard coaches talking about how much drugs they do MIKAL IS A SCAMMER
The people and the gym are great but if you read these reviews the contract is binding. It’s just as hard to get out of this contract that it is an apartment lease. If you are not completely invested in doing this for years I would not recommend. They do not give refunds and it is $300 to cancel. Also, if you don’t cancel and continuously skip months they back charge you and keep a debt. Until eventually it goes towards collections. There are much cheaper martial arts gyms without a binding contract like this one. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you think that there might be even one month you will have to miss DO NOT SIGN UP. This gym is for people who are committed to the craft. Also, if you’re like me and you saw their instagram Ad IT IS BAIT! Don’t bite
The gym is great, but the contract is weird I signed up for a 1 year contract and my year finished yet there still withdrawing money from my bank account, life’s not easy and now I’m struggling to get by with money being taken away that I don’t have. They don’t give “Refunds” if they take money away even if your contract time is up. DON’T SIGN UP for this
Not worth dealing with corporate - we got sent around in circles trying to stop the recurring charges. It’s really disappointing since it seemed like a small, close knit gym, but if life happens… there’s nobody you can physically talk to and you get passed off to someone random in Austin. Even large corporate gyms have the ability to waive fees and *at least they notify you when your contract is up to renew*, but I guess they’re desperate to squeeze as much money out of you as possible before you leave.
This place and all locations associated with it are a SCAM! They will sign you up with aggressive tactics day one. Be aware that there is a $300 cancellation fee tacked onto every single membership. You're being locked into a 12 month contract every time you sign up here. Nobody. I repeat. Nobody charges you a cancellation fee in DFW. There are no legit gyms that will lock you into a contract for a year. This place is a dirty rat hole and there are multiple other places that are much better in Ft Worth. Do. Not. Go. Here. Ever.
