Super clean gym with great staff and everything you need for a solid workout. Well equipped, with some excellent trainers and a really welcoming atmosphere. They even have boxing. Highly recommend!

Foot above is the single best gym in Ottawa hands down. You’ll have everything you need here. Zach and the staff take care of this gym like it’s their own. It makes a big difference. 1000% recommend !

I’ve been to quite a few gyms over the years, and this one genuinely stands out. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming rather than intimidating, which makes a huge difference whether you’re a beginner or experienced. The equipment is top-tier and always well-maintained. There’s a wide range of machines, free weights, and functional training areas, so you never feel limited in your workout options. Even during peak hours, the space is organized well enough that you’re not constantly waiting around. One of the biggest highlights is the staff. The trainers are knowledgeable, approachable, and actually take the time to help if you have questions or need guidance. It doesn’t feel like they’re just there to sell sessions—they genuinely care about members improving and reaching their goals. Cleanliness is another strong point. The gym is consistently spotless, from the workout areas to the locker rooms, which shows real attention to detail and respect for members. What really ties everything together is the overall vibe. It’s motivating without being overwhelming, and there’s a strong sense of community. People are focused, but not judgmental, which makes it easier to stay consistent. Overall, this gym checks all the boxes: great equipment, supportive staff, clean environment, and a positive atmosphere. Today I had the pleasure of working out at A Foot Above for the first time, and honestly, I have nothing but positive things to say. I trained with Benny, and my session was incredibly informative, effective, and packed with knowledge. I walked out feeling stronger, confident, and genuinely impressed. The hospitality was amazing. The gym is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully set up. I love that they have a CrossFit area! It really has a homey, motivating vibe. I highly recommend checking out this gym. I will definitely be back for more sessions with Benny! 💪✨

If you’re looking for a gym full of great people and with a huge variety of exciting equipment, this gym is for you! The gym offers many options when it comes to memberships, as well as fantastic Line up of personal trainers that will help you achieve your goals and needs! Boxing and Muay Thai classes are also something you don’t usually see in many gyms, and they offer both if that fits your fancy! A special shoutout to the amazing front desk staff, Nicole and Gabe, who always ensure you have a positive experience while training at this facility! Oh, and the owner, Zach, is a pretty cool guy too!

Hands down the best gym in orleans. If you’re like me and you’re tired of getting nowhere in the gym, swing by this place and hire a trainer. In 6 months my progress has been amazing. I’m no longer injuring myself and all my time is now spent making progress. Curd Hos has been an amazing trainer. Check him out on instagram and tell me you don’t feel motivated. Maybe you already know how to workout but the gyms you work out at have no etiquette and are overcrowded. This gym has all the nice machines, its members are polite and respectful and clean up after themselves. The other trainers are cool too. The staff in this place is a 10/10. In short, this place feels like home for me. Total win.

Had the pleasure of training at this gym for about a year before I had to cancel due to a move. I have been weightlifting for years and this is probably the best gym I have ever signed up to! Main benefits: There is just about any piece equipment you could possibly need at this gym and all of them are very new and well maintained. The gym-goers are friendly, mature and focused on their workouts. There is definitely a nice community-like feeling amongst the staff and members. Welcoming environment. Even during peak times, you can easily complete your whole workout without feeling suffocated or restricted in any way. The values of the owner are respectable as well, having chosen to remain open during peak covid time to prioritize health and wellness for everyone. The owner is receptive to feedback and always willing to make the gym better which generally cannot be experienced at large chain gyms. and much more, Highly recommend!!

The gym is very nice and well-equipped, with all kinds of machines for both cardio and strength training. There’s so much to do, including boxing, which is a great bonus. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I had a really great time working out here. Plus, they even have a sauna for those who want to relax after a workout. Overall, it’s a fantastic gym. Nicole is soo friendly . Really good place for workout . Thank you!”

I’ve visited this gym a few times with day passes, and overall, it’s a solid choice, especially for powerlifting. The equipment is excellent: sturdy benches, quality bars, multiple squat racks, and even chalk available. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the environment welcoming. One of the gym’s unique perks is the freedom it offers, you can train barefoot or shirtless if you prefer. For bodybuilders, the gym is decent but not ideal, as it has fewer machines compared to other facilities. Despite that, the gym is clean, well-maintained, and provides a great space to train

Unfortunately my time was short at this gym. I signed up 3 weeks ago as they offered me a day pass, before I could make my decision I had $47 come out of my account! Strike 1. I overlooked it because I really appreciate small businesses. I thought I found a diamond in the rough. What I found was a company willing to lose one of their members for a $40 NSF charge as my changed my account due to security risk, Strike 2. The last strike was me misplacing my card and getting threatened to be charged $15. Bad business practices from a small business looking to grow off of word of mouth. Sorry for the bad review but I have to be honest. I am disappointed in the hospitality I was shown in only 3 weeks of being a member, they were willing to take an additional $47 today as well. I paid a total of $94 and only got 3 weeks so you tell me if it was worth it!
