Had a fantastic several weeks training nogi at 66 while I was in town. Being still brand new to Jiu Jitsu, it’s always intimidating walking in somewhere new, but 66 ended up a fantastic experience for me. I very much enjoyed the practical no-nonsense atmosphere of the classes, and despite my being slow to pick up most techniques during class, Professor Mario was always quick to help advise me and/or jump in and drill with me when needed. Additionally, the regulars were always welcoming and happy to give pointers, be it after class or even during the handful of open mats I attended there. Besides Jiu Jitsu, the Judo and Boxing offerings are doubly and triply appealing, especially for anyone wanting to become a more well rounded practitioner of any, or all, of the aforementioned arts. Whether you’re a Flagstaff local or just passing through, I highly recommend a visit to 66 Jiu Jitsu.

Mario has got an incredible Jiu jitsu gym in flagstaff. I visited for ten days and him and his students (along with assistant coach Philip) were very welcoming. I learnt a ton and will visit again when lecturing back at NAU. Open mats on Wednesday are awesome!

The environment that Mario creates at his school is great for first timers and for people who have been consistently training for years. The gym is clean and well put together with nice mats. Great place to train. 10/10

5/5 I've trained at most of the gyms in the area. Mario is the only legitimate black belt actively teaching in town as far as I know. You won't find a better value in the monthly dues, especially for an instructor with the same wealth of knowledge in bjj, boxing, wrestling and mma. He genuinely cares about every student as a person and is invested in seeing you achieve whatever goals you set for yourself The gym is easy to park at and is cleaned several times a day. As an added plus, there is an emphasis on realistic self-defense for beginners and a padded wall to practice on. He offers classes for women only and kids as well! Look forward to seeing more new faces soon
