My two daughters, my son, and I attend 5th Dimension BJJ Academy, and we absolutely love it. After a year off the mats, I finally found a BJJ gym to call home. The atmosphere and camaraderie of the team make training here an amazing experience. It’s more than just a place to train—it’s a community where you can challenge yourself, grow, and develop valuable skills. Professor Chris and Coach Josh are incredibly passionate and truly care about their students, both on and off the mats. Coach Jake does an amazing job helping with the kids' class, ensuring they learn and have fun at the same time. The dedication of the entire team to teaching and building a strong, positive atmosphere is unmatched. If you're looking for a great place to train, improve, and be part of a supportive BJJ family, 5th Dimension BJJ Academy is it! Highly recommend!
First sport my kids actually look forward to practicing! Coach Chris is a kid whisperer and creates an environment that is respectful, safe, and fun. Kids have a blast while burning off some energy and learning juijitsu techniques to ready then for competition and life in general. It's just the best!
This is an awesome gym for the beginner to the highest level. The coaching is awesome, it’s just feels like family here.
This academy is incredible for both kids and adults! The kids’ classes are fun, structured, and confidence-building, with patient and skilled coaches who make learning engaging while instilling discipline. As an adult woman training here, I’ve felt nothing but welcomed and supported— Coach Chris creates a safe, encouraging environment for all skill levels, and the community is incredibly respectful and uplifting. Whether you’re looking for self-defense, fitness, or personal growth, this academy offers top-tier training in a positive and empowering space. Highly recommend!
The whole team is amazing. Couldn't ask for a better coach, or group of people to train with.
I love training with Coach Chris. I come from a traditional Brazilian Competition Environment in Maryland and this has been the most comparable training floor since moving to Texas. Coach Chris is knowledgeable and maleable when it comes to different types of students and training intensities. While still maintaining a rigorous training routine that will prepare any hobby practitioner for competition. Love it here 🤙
Clean environment, great coaching, great training partners
If you’ve ever dreamed of being submitted by a stranger in spandex while simultaneously making awkward small talk, this is the gym for you. Coach Chris has an uncanny ability to make you feel like a world class fighter... until he puts you in a triangle choke and you realize you’re just a human shaped pretzel. The mats are cleaner than my self esteem after rolling with a white belt. Seriously, I thought I was in shape until I joined. Now I just look like I’ve survived a car crash after every class. The sweat on the mats? It’s like a rite of passage. Some say it’s tears of pain; others say it’s the smell of pure regret. But in all honesty, the community here is like a dysfunctional family—except instead of arguing over Thanksgiving dinner, we argue about who’s gonna tap first. If you want to get bruised, humbled, and possibly addicted to choking people out in the friendliest way possible, then this gym will make you question all your life choices (in the best way).
I started training with Coach Chris about 6 months ago and with 5th Dimension about 3 months ago. Great coach, clean mats, excellent kids program. All around great spot to train BJJ. Highly recommend.
In did other marital arts into my 20s, and off and on after. During that time I got a small exposure to BJJ and knew I wanted to learn more from someone focused in it. Now 40 I see 5th Dimension BJJ Now there is a few things I was looking 1) knowledgeable instructor 2) safe environment 3) quality classes 4) good class schedule I am happy with all these things at 5th Dimension BJJ
Coach Chris and coach Jake is the best coaches I’ve ever practiced with and he’s always putting confidence in me and making my life better and for every single takedown they teaches me I get more and more thankful for my Coaches Chris and Jake thanks for all you’ve done for me!! 5th dimension is my favorite place to be at love this place!!
The place looks really good and the lobby is nice. I have been training with the coaches and they are really nice. They focus on jujitsu moves which is one of my brothers favorite martial arts! I really recommend this place for people that like Jujitsu.
I'm extremely grateful for the coaches at 5th Dimension BJJ, particularly Coach Chris, who has been training my four kids for over two years. He's taught them valuable life skills, in addition to PJJ, which has helped them transform from having behavioral issues and struggling in school to becoming leaders and getting into the gifted and talented program.
My son started BJJ with Chris about a year and a half ago, he has mentored my son through so many ups and downs he has taught him skills that he never thought he could do. Chris is kind and patient he truly cares about his members and they become his family including me a mom. I have watched my son bloom with a group of men he's been training with and women so if you're looking for a place for your son or daughter to go to learn BJJ and to join a family 5th Dimension is a place to go I can't say enough about Chris and the entire crew.
Excellent gym! The coaches are so passionate and engaging. My daughter is having a wonderful experience in the kids classes and my husband has nothing but great things to say about the adult classes as well. There’s also lots of mat space, easy parking, and it’s very clean.
Man I started my jiu jitsu journey with Chris and he’s been an amazing professor and friend.
Coach Chris and the team are some of the best trainers. I love the whole ambience and feel.
If you need confirmation of a good place to train martial art, you have just found an excellent one. I recommend it because you will not only have an excellent coach and nice mat to roll but you will also find great friends and family. Always focused on the development of skills from children to adults.
Feels more like a family than just a gym !
Been training with Professor Chris for almost 4 years now. He’s an excellent coach if you are really looking to advance your jiu jitsu. He’s is also great with the kids and helping them develope the skills they will need to become great leaders and bjj athletes. Just look at how many people followed him to his new school from the old one should speak volumes. Excited to be part of the 5DJJA family.
This place is the best when it comes to bjj and there coach is the absolute best
My 6 year old son, 17 year old son, and myself have been training under coach Chris for a couple of years now. His teaching style and patience with kids is amazing. He is able to capture your attention to keep adults and kids focused on the lesson. The family environment that has been cultivated at 5th Dimension is second to none. This place will make you feel welcome without all the ego and awkwardness. Fitness, confidence and the ability to protect yourself and your family. Come train with us!
My child was told to go train at this location, only for him to come back complaining about being uncomfortable and touched in innapropriate ways. I belive the trainer name was Aaron. Very strange and unnaceptable.
