This place is amazing!! My whole family is involved and my kids absolutely love the kids classes. The instructors are so patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

316 BJJ has been an amazing experience for my son. He absolutely loves coming here, and it’s easy to see why—the instructors are not only incredible at teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but also fantastic role models. They focus on building self-discipline, confidence, and practical anti-bullying techniques in a way that kids truly enjoy. I also love the family-friendly environment. While the adults are practicing, the kids are off the mats, having fun together in the lobby. It’s great to see them laughing, building friendships, and enjoying their time in a safe space. This gym creates a positive atmosphere where families feel welcome, and it’s rewarding to see both personal growth and a strong sense of community here. Highly recommend 316 for anyone looking to train in BJJ while fostering values like respect, resilience, and connection!

Me and my oldest son (8) started at this dojo two weeks ago. Coach Mark and Coach Hoffa are incredible. My youngest son is very shy and sometimes difficult to help. Tonight was his first time Coach Hoffa took the time to help him through his struggles and stay engaged. Coach Mark has pulled me aside multiple times to ensure that I get great instruction and have a good understanding of what I am being taught before I leave. As a beginner I have never felt intimidated and the amount of respect show in the dojo is impressive. You will not regret your decision to give this place a shot.

Family friendly environment with top notch training. My oldest has trained at 3 different gyms and this one is by far the best fit for him and his little brother.

A little over 4 years ago I took a trial class at the 316BJJ in Rockwall. Since the Brazilian Jiujitsu, but even more so this gym/family has changed my life. I have become both Physical and Mentally tougher, and able to accomplish goals in my life that I didn’t think I ever could have. I could go on and on over the benefits of jiujitsu, but over it all this gym stands out, because of the community. We are a family that takes care of each other in a way that is rare in today’s world. I believe this is why they opened one in Greenville, because they have the winning formula and can expand. I’ve been out to Greenville and it’s hard to find a men as caring and knowledgeable as Coach Rafa and Mark.

316 BJJ Greenville is a clean, knowledgeable, and friendly environment. Professor Rafa and Coach Mark do a great job explaining and teaching. They do their best to assure safety first. My 7 year old loves coming to 316 BJJ Greenville. We appreciate the patience from Rafa and Mark. Do a trial, you won't regret it.

Copying and pasting to their new location to warn others about shady business. Did a trial class and was not impressed. Management charges well above the norm for membership and also tries to bring in more money by requiring you to buy and use their gis. Thanks for the response! Reaching out wouldn't seem to fix the issues stated above. You mentioned that the reason for the high price is because of "value". This is a hard point to argue. So, let's take a look at this objectively with numbers. Mohler BJJ offers unlimited BJJ (based on their website) for $170/month compared to the price of $240/month. Caya martial arts offers unlimited classes for MMA, BJJ, and boxing for $150/month. Brazilian Top Team in Dallas offers unlimited classes for $150/ month. As for your explanation on the mandatory gis at the gym, many gyms offer the freedom to bring, purchase, and wear your own kimono. You stated that the reason for making a 316 kimono mandatory was to help alleviate cost (which is ironic since your membership is again much higher than other BJJ gyms). What about scenarios where the individual already has their own sets of gis? Now the practioner must purchase more kimonos. Additionally, you mentioned that the gis contribute to the family setting. However, the BJJ practioner is already paying for a service. So the gi is not what makes the individual a part of that family.
