316 BJJ is a great place for community and family connection! The mental and emotional growth along with the physical is amazing! Because of the diversity you get to meet so many great people. It’s like a brother hood for boys and men, and sister hood for girls and women! 😆 I recommend a free trial class and come see it for yourself !

My family and I were on the fence about BJJ and joining a gym and decided to drop in at 316. It only took one class to realize the quality and environment 316 has built especially with the kids program. We were immediately welcomed in as part of the group and the customer service we received is worth 6 stars. I can’t say enough about the people here and we are exited to start training at 316.

I would highly recommend 316 BJJ to anyone. My 7 year old son began training over a year ago and he loves it. It's given us a way to connect, to talk about Jiu Jitsui, and by partnering with the 316 Staff, they're helping me to raise my son to become not just a good fighter, but a better human who gives back to society in a positive way. As for me, it's given me a lot of confidence to not just defend myself and my family, but better awareness of people. From a business perspective, I no longer freak out over small details. Jiu Jitsui teaches you to use your mind, talk through issues, and really solve problems. It's been great for my career, providing me confidence, and tackle issues head on. From a spiritual perspective, this is the most important for me. I trust the men teaching my son and I, and instill Christian values that are important for us. They've become friends and really push us to be better men. They will also have Nerf Nights for the kids every now and then which is a blast for them to connect with their friends, but gives parents an opportunity to go on a date night. I could go on and on. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!

When I started at BJJ 316 eight months ago, I had no idea how invested they would be in me. The culture of the gym is free of ego’s and full of encouragement from the staff and other members. Everyone is focused on getting better, not on showing off or hurting anyone. The real reason I joined was to get physically fit. Within the first three months of joining, I dropped 15 pounds and added that much in muscle mass. A completely unexpected benefit of training has been how it has affected me mentally. Because Jujitsu requires so much creativity and strategy my brain also gets a workout, training has lowered my anxiety levels and improved my mental clarity. Training at BJJ 316 has been an awesome experience! I would encourage anyone to give them a try no matter where you are, the guys at BJJ316 will meet you right where you are at!

I cannot say enough great things about your gym! To begin! I loved the Christian music playing. It's sad that that's counter culture today but it sets the tone for the expectation of the gym. I got good hard rounds but everyone I rolled with took care of me and insured my safety even as a visitor to the gym. The instruction was top notch. It was explained perfect and was not too big of a bite. It reminded me of my instructor in Austin. 10/10 would recommend your gym to anyone in that area. I only wish I lived near to train there as a member of this gym.

Great school with fantastic teachers. My daughter has been training at 316 for 18 months and her growth has been phenomenal, both as a person and as a Jiu Jitsu player. Having grown up in the martial arts myself, I know how invaluable hard work and discipline are, especially for young minds. So when our daughter decided that she was done with cheer after competing for six years, I encouraged her to try Jiu Jitsu. In just her short year and a half in the sport, 316 has helped her to earn 5 gold medals and become a Jiu Jitsu World League Season Champion. Her confidence and self esteem has improved tremendously. And I feel confident she can defend herself if necessary. I can’t say enough good things about the school.

Started training BJJ with 316 about 6 months ago, and it's the best decision I've made in years. These guys have created an environment that feels safe, supportive, and makes me feel like it's okay to be vulnerable, ask questions, struggle (and fail), and always continue to get better. Every coach in the gym is humble, respectful, and genuinely wants to help you improve yourself. It's no overstatement to say that 316BJJ has helped me be a better man in all aspects of my life, both on the mats and off. If you're like me and you've always wanted to join a gym, but are intimidated by the sport, or embarrassed to be the new guy, give these guys a call or stop by and try to get a sense of the vibe at the gym - you won't regret it.

My experience with 316 BJJ was absolutely wonderful. It was my first foray into BJJ and I gotta say I couldn't have found a more wonderful place to start my journey. The facility is bright, clean, and in really good shape. The instructors are top notch and are good at pairing people up based on skill level and size etc. No one I sparred with here was "spazzy" or during anything out of line. They treat you like a family here and have lots of hang outs and get together and it truly feels like a community. Due to moving and a job change I had to move on but if you're on the fence about putting your child or yourself in a BJJ school, this is the one to pick.

My son is the only boy out of five kids. Needless to say he has some rough housing to get out of his system. We signed him up for Jui Jitsu because, let’s be honest, Jui Jitsu is the best of the martial arts. He was nervous at first but in no time Coach Country and his team made him feel right at home! I stayed with some relatives about 45 minutes from 316 BJJ for 4 nights. It was the closest, most convenient place to train, so I would have trained there no matter what. I was pleased to learn when I arrived that I wasn't settling for anything. The gym is an immaculately clean place with professional, encouraging, and knowledgeable instuctors who are there for more than a paycheck. They gave the distinct impression that they wanted to share their knowledge, even with a traveler who dropped in for 3 classes. I will certainly visit again when I'm in the area.

I cannot adequately express with words how incredible 316 BJJ is. Our son has been training with them and when I have time, I do as well. Scott, Mike, Tori and their team are top notch instructors and really work with the kids on a personal level. Aside from teaching jiu jitsu, they are instilling discipline and a sense of pride in their students. The difference we have seen in our son since he has been training is astounding. Great training for the whole family. My two sons (5 and 9) and I started training here 3 months ago. I wanted the boys to get into something that would help instill respect, discipline and mental toughness and we found that and more. Professor Country, Big Mike and Verb are all great with the kids. They demand maximum effort from the kids yet still make the classes fun. Training for adults is also great. There are no big egos in the gym and it feels like a family. I’m looking forward to our BJJ progression with the 316 BJJ crew.

My teenage son has been training here for 3 months now and the difference in him is so evident already! The confidence he shows now and the respect he gives me in such a short time is unbelievable. The coaches challenge him to be the best young gentleman he can be and manors/respect are mandatory in and away from the gym. The 316 family is just that, a family! He has been to several events for families and teen only events and believe that influence has been so valuable for him. We have tried other sports and martial arts in Rockwall and never experienced anything like this before! I am so happy we found this place and cannot wait to see how he progresses!

as a teenage girl (15) that trains here, I can say that this martial art is one of the most beneficial for those looking for self defense and a fun, family environment. I have truly found a family at this gym and it is nothing like no other in the rockwall area. I used to train in Taekwondo, and I can say that this is one of the most beneficial martial arts I have taken that and also one of the few arts where even the smaller girls can bring the grown men trouble when caught in a combat situation. Size is no matter and the coaches are by far some of the best people i have ever met.

If you're looking for a gym to take your kids to this 316BJJ is the place. They will of course teach them the skills on the mat, but better than that they push all their students to become better people. I have been taking my son since he was four years old. We have been going for about a year now. The gym is a great place for kids to learn not only Jiu Jitsu but how to be respectful boys and girls. All the instructors are good with the kids and want them to succeed in the gym and in life. Being a faith based gym was one of the reasons I initially chose this gym. Religion is not crammed down your throat but the kids are taught right from wrong and to do the right thing. My son enjoys his time there and it is a great outlet for him to exercise and be a boy. It is my intention that this training will be invaluable to him as he grows up and I only wish I could have started a program like this when I was younger. I also attend classes and enjoy it. Everyone at the gym is friendly and willing to help. You can come check it out for free so there are no excuses.

316 BJJ - Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts is AWESOME. All 3 of my kids did the trial and LOVED it, even though my plan was only to sign up my autistic 6 year old. Professor/Coach Country worked with my daughter who has anxiety and it really was helping her. We plan to sign her up full time once she's finished her cheer season. My 6 year old has found his niche. Country is firm and demands respect. (Both for himself and for the other adults/parents) 🙌🏼 No messing around- yet the class is FUN and they get a great workout. The kids get nicknames- like it or not, lol. He tailors his style to the needs of each child. He could tell upon meeting my sensitive daughter that he could not yell at her, however she was not exempt from the 10 push-ups if you forget to say "yes sir" rule. He knows that my son has severe receptive language difficulties and struggles to understand verbal instructions, so he makes sure to show him VISUALLY what he needs to be doing. Listening to the commentary during the class is hilarious and I'm amused the whole hour I sit there and watch. He brings the Lord into his teaching and it's an outreach to he community. I can't say enough. His wife Tori, aka "Verb" is SO nice and thoughtful and Big Mike is terrific- just so good with the kids. They are all so great with these kids, and I really cannot say enough about the program. We've attended both the 5-8 year old class and the 8-13. Thankful to have an outlet for my kiddo(s) to go, and he is treated completely normal just like any other typical kid, dispite his autism, speech and other disabilities. OSS!

If you are a first day beginner, experienced belt holder, male, female, young, old--this is a great place to train! EVERYONE inside this building qualifies under that old "good people" moniker, and I am so glad I ever found this workout facility. Coach Country, and Mike will treat you like a brother/sister on the first meeting, and never like a "client". The expect--and teach--respect from the youngsters who love the structured, yet fun training. I can't say enough good things about 316 BJJ. I have trained in many places over the last 35 years, and this is special. I was hesitant at first regarding the name--but they lead by example, and make me humble and proud to call everyone "friend" the second I walk in the door. Don't misunderstand--the training is expert, and not for the faint at heart. But struggle makes us better in all walks of life. Thanks team 316 BJJ!!

Good teachers and classmates, but with all the kids that are waiting it’s hard for the kids in class to fully concentrate. They are running around and yelling and jumping on the benches. Would be much better if there was a separate playroom for them so the students in the class to have no distractions!

Did a trial class and was not impressed. Management charges well above the norm for membership and also tries to bring in more money by requiring you to buy and use their gis. Thanks for the response! Reaching out wouldn't seem to fix the issues stated above. You mentioned that the reason for the high price is because of "value". This is a hard point to argue. So, let's take a look at this objectively with numbers. Mohler BJJ offers unlimited BJJ (based on their website) for $170/month compared to the price of $240/month. Caya martial arts offers unlimited classes for MMA, BJJ, and boxing for $150/month. Brazilian Top Team in Dallas offers unlimited classes for $150/ month. As for your explanation on the mandatory gis at the gym, many gyms offer the freedom to bring, purchase, and wear your own kimono. You stated that the reason for making a 316 kimono mandatory was to help alleviate cost (which is ironic since your membership is again much higher than other BJJ gyms). What about scenarios where the individual already has their own sets of gis? Now the practioner must purchase more kimonos. Additionally, you mentioned that the gis contribute to the family setting. However, the BJJ practioner is already paying for a service. So the gi is not what makes the individual a part of that family.
