I was out here visiting from Prescott Arizona . The atmosphere was amazing and the gentleman that I had a privilege to roll with were very humble and respectful. Coach is a very down to earth individual and allowed everyone from different levels to roll and just have a good time . Respects to 12th street ! I recommend anyone from any level of experience to visit this gym .

UPDATE: my son has been here for almost 2 1/2 years and loves it still. I am grateful for how he has developed and the skills he has gained. We have been taking our son (now 6yrs old) here for three months and he absolutely loves it. The coaches are all very detailed with instruction and very professional/ knowledgeable. All of the kids are focused in class and you can tell each enjoy coming and being there. It is also a clean facility. Even more than what my son is learning it is a great community feel for the students and even parents too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a jiu-jitsu class and training.

I came in a for a roll the day after Thanksgiving, I called in expecting no one to call me back (because it’s the day after Thanksgiving) and I got a call back in less than 10 minutes. From the moment I walked in the door I was welcomed and treated like a member of the family that is clearly evident at 12th street Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors were phenomenal and the rolls were great. Next time I’m in Arizona I’ll definitely be stopping by again. If you live in the area I highly recommend giving 12th street Jiu-Jitsu a try

I started my son Jackson 6 months ago right after he turned 4. Jose and all the other coaches have really put in extra effort to help Jack progress in his jiu-jitsu and athleticism. Most importantly his social skills are developing as well being around kids his age and older.

Started training here in January to restart my Jiu Jitsu journey after injuries and Covid and felt right at home. Coach Jose and coach Adrian are not only both amazing coaches but human beings as well. I was welcomed in with open arms from everybody which is a direct reflection of the environment these gentlemen have created. Whether you’re training to become healthier, become proficient in self defense, or compete, 12st is where you need to be. I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity than to train here. A place ran by people that genuinely cares about its members and not trying to cash out like some gyms do.

The atmosphere was great & definitely ideal for anyone who trains Jiujitsu or wants to start. Very clean & the staff is awesome. Coach Jose was so welcoming and open. Felt like home to me, and the training partners were so respectful & nice….. and speaking from a woman’s perspective that’s always a big factor when choosing who to train with. So if you haven’t tried them out I say do it!

12th Street Jiu-Jitsu is really an incredible establishment. Building such an amazing community, 12th Street has fostered my love for the sport of Jiu-Jitsu while teaching me so much about the martial art. Every day I look forward to my classes and love being here so much. Amazing instructors, facility, and students make 12th Street the most welcoming and wonderful Jiu-Jitsu gym I have ever trained at.

Went on vacation for a couple of week in Phoenix, Arizona and found this place to train. Really enjoyed the schedule and how they focused on both gi and no gi. The gym was always clean and looked brand new. The professors helped a lot and really knew what they were doing. Everyone went the extra mile to really make me feel welcome. Would highly recommend if you live in the area. Definitely would consider making it my go to gym if I lived here. 🤙🏼

I can’t say enough good things about this gym. From the start Coach Jose, Professor Nez and teammates welcomed me with open arms and haven’t stopped learning since. This gym is like family and would recommend this to everyone even if you haven’t started before. It’s nerve racking as a female to join a new sport but I promise you’ll love it after your first class at 12th St!

To start let me say I haven't been at 12th Street very long yet as a student but this is a top notch facility. The mats are brand new and the place is very clean. Professor Jose is phenomenal. His knowledge of jiu jitsu and MMA is astounding. He's a high level competitor and has been for years. The classes are well organized and it's very cool you can wear whatever gi you want here. Training partners are awesome. Everyone just wants to get better. It's clear this is Jose's passion. Often times he's there late at night helping you work on different aspects of your fight game. For what you get his membership prices are awesome! Great place to train and learn!

I did not know much about Jujitsu until I decided to enroll my eight-year-old son this summer. I am amazed to see how much my son has learned in such a short time, discipline, technique, Confidence, Just to name a few. I am mostly excited to discover how much courage he has!! The coach, and owner, is extremely humble and patient and consistent with the kids and caters to them individually. He is truly a remarkable person.

12st MMA and Jiu Jitsu is definitely my favorite place to learn savage technique or hit an open roll. Jose Munoz is a very talented, dedicated professor with amazing capabilities and knowledge. more than being an outstanding place to learn the craft, they are very hospitable and generous in the ways they give back to the BJJ community. strongly consider making this my home as a competitor, and that's saying something considering I live about an hour and a half away. definitely one if the best schools out there.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. Everyone is friendly and are respectful training partners. Being humble is not something you tell another you are, it is something you observe in someone. The coaches at 12th St are dedicated to sharing their experiences. They are truly humble and are great team leaders. I am proud to share the mat at 12th St.

Im not a person who normally leaves reviews, in this case it has to be said. 12th street Jiu-Jitsu is a gym a staff who truly take there time and have the upmost patience to TEACH!. it’s an amazing environment to learn an amazing sport taught be an amazing Professor. Professor Jose Muñoz, is not just skilled but can teach that skill something not everyone can do. I invite you to come try it out or Just come in and look. I don’t say this lightly but the school is truly something that has been missing in the Jiu-Jitsu community, humble, down to earth, patient, and willing to make sure you go home with knowledge. 10 star rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Great spot to learn and train jiu jitsu. Stuff that makes this gym stand out: 1. Jose is a great instructor, and a legit competing black belt. He is very patient and understanding with students trying jiu jitsu for the first time. 2. The gym is very clean. The bathroom is always in good shape, and Jose is constantly cleaning the mats. 3. The culture in the gym is very friendly and laidback. The atmosphere is very inclusive. If you're just trying to get in shape, or looking to switch gyms, come take a trial class with Jose, you'll be glad you did.
