Rian recently went for a trial at Hugo's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym after training elsewhere for the past three years. He had been getting bored and asking to stop, so I didn’t want to force it. But then he told me he wanted to train with Hugo again, and I couldn’t be happier! 😊 Just for context, Rian is autistic and Hugo coached him years ago, from when he was around 6 until 8, and Rian always had a great time. I genuinely thought Rian had lost interest in BJJ, but seeing him enjoy it again is amazing 🥋😊 011GRPL isn’t just another gym, it’s a place that truly understands and supports neurodivergent kids. Hugo is more than just a BJJ coach; he pushes his students while respecting their limits and goes above and beyond to help them grow. He’s even studying Occupational Therapy to deepen his knowledge in this area, which says everything about his dedication. If you’re looking for a sports program for special kids, where they’ll not only learn self-defense, discipline, movement, and confidence but also receive the right support tailored to their needs this is the place to be. Hugo played a huge role in Rian’s early years, from encouraging him to count reps when he couldn’t even count to helping him build strength and resilience. One day they’re working on balance, the next it’s strength and mental toughness. This place is everything for kids who need that extra bit of understanding and guidance 💙 Honestly, I’m in awe of the work Hugo and his team are doing!!! 🙌🔥 Thank you, Hugo and team for your passion and dedication to these kids. I’ve been doing jiu jitsu almost six months now with 011 GRPL. Having tried out other gyms in Dublin nothing compares to the experience that 011 offers. The women’s only programme is fantastic, offering a safe and fun environment. I love that the mats are always clean and that the gym smells nice (one of the best pros). Aside from that, the coaches are beyond supportive and to be honest after having done big group instruction in other gyms the semi-private classes that 011 offer are second to none. This allows for faster progression and to actually make sure you’re doing the techniques properly, rather than trying to figure it out on your own.

My daughter has been going to 011 for over 2 years now, she adores going and it’s made her so much more confident in other area’s of her life. It’s not only brilliant exercise, but helps promote good mental health in children. I think it’s so important that little girls can protect themselves, if they ever need to. Ontop of all that, jiu jitsu massively helps with meeting her sensory needs and emotional regulation. Hugo has had great time for my daughter and our other children too. 011 is a family that we’re delighted to be part of.

Absolutely incredible BJJ studio! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the coaches and the community. The instructors are world-class—knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about helping every student improve, whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced practitioner. The atmosphere is both friendly and challenging, pushing you to grow while making training fun. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has everything you need for an amazing session. The students here are supportive, and there’s a real sense of camaraderie. If you’re looking for a place to train, get in shape, and be part of an amazing BJJ family, look no further. Highly recommend!
