Schwenksville and the surrounding area host a small set of grassroots BJJ events. The Path submission grappling series is the most active organizer, running events such as White Belt Wars, a kids sub-only show and a lightweight open, while Battle of the Barracks has had several editions.
Many of these events take place in nearby Doylestown, with others in Newtown. September is the busiest month, and house rules are the norm. Gi divisions are slightly more common than No-Gi, and some events include kids divisions.
