Princeton hosts occasional BJJ tournaments in central New Jersey, with events also held in nearby Hillsborough. NAGA has run its North American Grappling Championship and NAGA Philadelphia II Grappling Championship in the area, and the New Jersey Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation holds its NJBJJF Fall Championships.
Grapplers Grand Prix has also organized events here. Most events offer Gi divisions and many include No-Gi, kids and absolute divisions, with IBJJF and house rules both listed. Autumn is the most common time for events, with occasional dates early in the year.
