Metuchen is a regular venue for BJJ tournaments in central New Jersey, with an occasional event in nearby Madison. The NEWBREED New Jersey Fall Championship is the most frequent event, and GOOD FIGHT has run its NJ Summer Classic and NJ Winter Open here. United Grappling has also held a New Jersey event in the area.
Around two thirds of events offer both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and around a third include kids or absolute divisions. September is by far the busiest month, followed by July, with occasional events in February and March.
