Lansing has a small but steady BJJ competition calendar. NEWBREED runs fall, spring and winter championships in the city, and FUJI BJJ holds Lansing Summer and Winter Championships. The Michigan State Championship has also been held in Lansing.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are both widely offered, and around four in ten events include kids divisions and an absolute division. September is the busiest month, followed by January, June and October.
