Lake Arrowhead has a small but regular BJJ tournament calendar, with events also held in nearby Yucaipa. The Lake Arrowhead Jiu Jitsu Open is the most frequent event, including a winter edition, and King of Subs has run a Lake Arrowhead Open here.
The Samurai Showdown, organized in Yucaipa, runs Gi and No-Gi events as well as No-Gi only shows. Around three in five events offer both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and around a quarter include kids or absolute divisions. November and August are the busiest months, with occasional events in March, June and December.
