Kingsport hosts BJJ tournaments for the Tri-Cities area, with events also held in nearby Johnson City and Bristol. The Grappling Games runs the Tri-Cities Fall Games here, and The Good Fight has held its Tri-City Challenge and Bristol Winter Open in the area. The FUJI BJJ Eastern Tennessee Summer Championship, Grapple for Growth and the Back The Blue Fitness Expo Grappling Tournament have also been held here.
Around three in five events offer Gi and No-Gi divisions, and about half include kids divisions. February and September are the busiest months, with events also in January, June and July.
