Grappling Industries Austria is the most frequent recurring event, and other regular fixtures include the Adler Cup, Steel City BJJ, the Fight2Submit Graz Open, the Styrian Open Championship and the Vienna Open Championship (Offene Wiener Landesmeisterschaft). Momentum runs its Vienna Open BJJ Gi & No-Gi, 2Brave hosts the Grappling Series with separate kids and adult editions, and the Rookie Rumble caters to newer competitors. The ADCC Austrian Federation is also active.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are offered in almost equal measure, around three in ten events include kids divisions and roughly one in five has an absolute division. IBJJF and ADCC rules are used about equally, with some events running house rules, and round robin brackets are a common format. Entry fees usually start from around €24–€30. September is the busiest month, followed by November, June, May and October.
