Auburn hosts a regular BJJ calendar, with most events in the city and some in nearby Opelika. FUJI BJJ runs the Auburn Winter and Summer Championships and the Alabama State Championship, Genesis 32 holds spring and fall tournaments, and Future Grapplers League runs the FGL Auburn Open.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are offered in equal measure, and close to half of events include kids divisions. Both points and submission-only rules are used. March is the busiest month, followed by October, November, July and April.
