Thank you for participating in our 50th State Judo Association Tournament. This tournament is open to all members of USJF and USJA.

TOURNAMENT TIMES:  Volunteers are welcome to help set up from 7am and break down. 

Doors Open to the Public at 8:00 AM

**A Microsoft Excel Pre-Certification of Weight Form shall be submitted by the club Sensei via email to the tournament director no later than the registration deadline. (This has been voted by the BOD so instructors know who of their students are registering without their knowledge/attendance)  Please include a MAXIMUM of five (5) certified coaches who wish to sit in the coaches chair. 

Spot check WEIGH IN: 8 AM to 8:50 AM for Bantam through intermediate.

Spot check WEIGH IN: 10 AM to 11 AM for Juvenile A and up Divisions.

**IF YOU ARE NOT ON YOUR INSTRUCTORS PRE-WEIGH IN SHEET YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEIGH IN AT THE TOURNAMENT.  (Note that by not weighing in at your dojo you may cause the delay of the tournament to start on time)

 **Proof of your USJF or USJA current insurance card will be needed to weigh in. 

**Check in registration with your Smoothcomp ID only. Do NOT check in with your USJF card. If you do not have your Smoothcomp ID number ready upon check in, then you will be asked to go to the back of the line. 

MULTIPLE DIVISION OPTION: Contestants will be allowed to enter up to two divisions. Any contestant that is entered in a Novice division that chooses to enter two divisions must compete in only the Novice division.

Contestants that choose to compete in two divisions can either compete up one weight class in their age division, or compete up one age division at the same or similar weight.

START 9:00 AM - Morning Session Bantam through Intermediate Divisions

11 am at earliest - Late Session Juvenile A and up. 

Make sure that when you create a Smoothcomp Account you provide accurate information for the athlete that will be registered in the tournament. Choose the division that matches the athlete's age and weight.

BANTAM DIVISIONS: Bantam Division athletes will not be disqualified for not making weight.  Following weigh in, athletes will be grouped by closest weight before the start of the tournament.

NOVICE DIVISION: If the athlete has less than 6 months experience they can enter the Novice Division.  Athletes in the Novice Division will not be disqualified for not making weight. Athletes in the Novice Division will be grouped by closest weight before the start of the tournament.

Please remember to use an approved/conforming white judo Gi to regulation. If you are designated as a blue contestant you have the option of wearing an approved/conforming blue judo Gi. Both white and blue contestants are responsible for bringing their own white and blue belts.

Uncontested athletes will be merged with the nearest one age up or one weight up division or contestants may be pushed up to the uncontested prior to tournament start time.  

BRACKETS: 

Divisions with 2 people will be Best of 3.

Divisions with 3-4 people will be Round Robin.

Divions with 5 or more people will be True-Double Elimination.
