Beginners division: those with a white belt and less than 2 years of experience in jiu-jitsu or similar grappling arts
Intermediate division: blue and white belts with more than 2 years of experience in jiu-jitsu or similar grappling arts
Advanced division: purple belts and higher belt ranks with 3-5+ years of experience in jiu-jitsu or similar grappling arts
Absolute division is open weight class
