Team rules for the Grand Prix: The academy or school must have a brick-and-mortar facility where students regularly train. Teams based solely on sponsorship or non-physical teams will not qualify. Only teams from established training facilities can compete for the Grand Prize. We appreciate your compliance and can’t wait to see you all at the event
Key Details:
Team Requirements: Each team must have a minimum of 40 registered competitors. Each coaches is responsible for submitting the final list of your athletes. Coaches must email (tvbjjgrandprix@gmail.com) 40 athletes full name. By October 6th, 2026 any list submitted after this date will mot be accepted, so please plan accordingly.
Eligibility: All competitors must come from the same academy or a physical brick-and-mortar school (no virtual teams).
Grand Prize Structure:
With 11 teams: First place - $10,000, Second place - $5,000, Third place - $2,500.
With 12 teams: First place - $15,000, Second place - $7,500, Third place - $3,750.
With 13 teams: First place - $20,000, Second place - $10,000, Third place - $5,000.
These prize levels will activate depending on the number of teams registered, creating a tiered reward system for the top teams. We encourage you to rally your academy members and join us for this exciting league. Compete as a team, earn points, and vie for these prestigious prizes that reward collective dedication and excellence
Team Valor BJJ Grand Prix pricing with the additional division fee included:
Early Registration: $90 July 1st – July 22nd @ 11:59 PM
Regular Registration: $130 July 22nd – august 22 @ 11:59 PM
Late Registration: $150 August 22– October 6th @ 11:59 PM
Additional Division Entry: +$30 per extra division
Coach Pass Policy
Any academy registering more than 10 competitors will receive 5 free coach passes. Additional coach passes beyond the allotted amount will be available for $15 per person.
General admission for spectators is $15 per person.
WEIGH-INS: Competitors can weigh in as soon as the event doors open on the day they are competing up until 60 minutes prior to their division start time. Competitors are NOT required to weigh in wearing uniform. Competitors competing in multiple divisions only need to weigh in once. Competitors who fail to weigh-in prior to the 60 minute cutoff or fail to make weight for their division will be disqualified.
BRACKETS AND SCHEDULE: The event’s brackets and schedule will be posted 48 hours prior to the event. They can be found on the event page ‘Schedule’ tab. Event schedules are dynamic and division start times may fluctuate. It is important to monitor the schedule and brackets leading up to and on event day. Brackets may run as much as 1 hour ahead of schedule.
MERGERS: Once the registration and change deadline have passed, competitors that are alone in their division will be merged as per our merger guidelines. Competitors with no available merges as indicated by an ‘x’ next to their division name, must contact us at tvgrandprix@gmail.com to explore available options or be issued a credit to a future event if without a match in all of their divisions. Please note that TV GRAND PRIX does not contact competitors directly regarding mergers; it is each competitor’s responsibility to check their brackets and reach out if there are any issues or concerns. By registering for a TV GRAND PRIX event, you acknowledge that mergers may not always be possible and that a credit will be issued in such cases.
CHANGING DIVISIONS AND CANCELLING REGISTRATION: Competitors can edit or cancel registration up until the event’s change deadline. October 6ht 2026
REFUND POLICY: only a full coupon credit is offered up until the change deadline, regardless of circumstance. After the change deadline, credits are issued only if a competitor has no scheduled matches. Unforeseen circumstances such as withdrawals, no-shows, empty divisions, or schedule changes may occur and do not warrant exceptions to this policy. Travel to the event is at your own discretion, and the organizer is not responsible for any related expenses. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accept this policy.
