We feature both IBJJF-friendly Gi divisions and high-paced No-Gi brackets, creating an inclusive platform for all levels of competitors. Our mission is to deliver a top-tier local competition experience  with generous registration fees, free entry for all black belts, and exciting major prizes up for grabs. FORMATS

Tournament structure - All weight divisions will all now be single elimination

3 competitors in a division will be round robin

2 competitors in a division will be best of 3

Double bronze for all semi finalists 

Open weight is straight elimination 

Gi - follows IBJJF weight and techniques permissible

Nogi - follows IBJJF weight and techniques permissible

Kids and Juvenile Gi & Nogi - follows all IBJJF rules for techniques and weight divisions

Match formats - 

Gi & No-Gi - IBJJF point structure 

Match times - kids 3 minutes , juvenile 4 minutes , adult and master 5 minutes 

10k GI GRAND PRIX - 79kg open to all belt levels

IBJJF black belt rules - 6 minute matches

No close outs

Seeded bracket

Competitors can weigh in night before from 6pm at the venue for this division only

Competitors don't have to weigh in with the Gi

WEIGH IN

There will be one single weigh in from when you first enter the venue. You will only need to weigh in the once if you do both Gi and Nogi divisions . Weigh ins will be in Nogi attire only . There is no weight allowance for both Gi and Nogi divisions . Competitor's only have two chance's to make weight , if not they will be automatically DQ'ed and wont be able to move division's thereafter.

John smith, Gracie Barra registered for...

Gi white belt 85kg

Nogi beginner 85kg

weighs in just once in nogi attire 84.5kg

Technique's permissible

Kids and juveniles Gi & Nogi - all per IBJJF permissible

Adult GI - all per IBJJF permissible

Adult Nogi - all per IBJJF permissible

REGISTRATIONS

Kids Gi & Nogi - early $69 normal $79 late $89

Juveniles Gi & Nogi - early $79 normal $89 late $99

Adults Gi & Nogi - early $79 normal $89 late $99

Combine both weight divisions for extra discounts

Open weight divisions - early $19 normal $29 late $39

10k GRAND PRIX - $120 minimum 16 competitors to qualify for prize

Black belt competitors - free - message us to get free entry (no free entries for grand prix)

Spectator tickets - $20  @Eventbrite - one parent free for juniors under 12

Single competitor divisions - we will do our best to accommodate everyone as best we can either by merging competitors with similar weight's, age or skill levels. To help us best accommodate you in the case of single fighter divisions you have the ability to put in a note for us on your registration . Just jot down your preference and we will do our best. An example would be "willing to go down in age , not really keen on going up in weight" 

New Policy Update: Refunds & Credits

• After the check day, refunds will no longer be issued.
• If we are unable to find you a match, you will receive a credit for the next event instead of a refund.
• The last day to cancel and receive a full refund is the 28th. No exceptions will be made after this date.

Please ensure you take note of these changes. If you need to make any adjustments, be sure to do so before the deadline.

BRACKETS AND SCHEDULE

Competitors are required to be present 60 minutes before their match start time.

Bracket's and the event schedule will be posted on the Friday prior to the event.

You can access these by visiting the Brackets & Schedule  tab.

A real-time schedule by bracket and real-time schedule by match order will be featured on large TV monitors at the event allowing you access to the most up-to-date information available. You can also keep up to date on your mobile device on the smoothcomp account

During the event, you will be able to access this information from your mobile device or the smoothcomp app (recommended)

Competitors must be in Fighter Bullpen 15 minutes prior to your match time.

Please be one time to your designated mat to keep the tournament running on time.

White, blue or black GI's only 

rash guard under GI optional 

NOGI divisions -  any bjj rash guard permitted , doesn't have to be ranked

Shorts must be original fight shorts no board shorts or sport shorts

Spats permitted
