Tournament date: Saturday September 6, 2026 CHEROKEE, NC 28719
Schedule: Saturday: Check in/Weigh in 8:00 am-10:00 am. Referee meeting at 9:30 am. OPENING CEREMONY/COMPETITION starts: 11:00 am.
Cost $25 per division.
DIVISIONS: VETERANS (Masters), SENIORS-NOVICE GREEN BELT AND BELOW, ADVANCED BROWN BELT AND ABOVE. JUNIOR DIVISIONS DIVIDED BY AGE. ALL DIVISIONS WILL BE DIVDED by MALE and FEMALE AS WELL AS WEIGHT
JUNIOR MATCHES WILL BE 3 MINUTES, AND ALL SENIOR matches WILL BE 5 MINUTES.
Kosen Judo Rule set will govern the tournament.
ANY GI COLOR WILL BE ALLOWED. BLUE AND WHITE SASHES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR COMPETITORS TO USE.

What should I do if GPS does not find the venue correctly?
The description says to Google “Santas Land Fun Park and Zoo” in Cherokee. The gym is across the hiway, up on the hill.
What are the check-in, weigh-in, and start times?
Check in and weigh in are Saturday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The referee meeting is at 9:30 am, and the opening ceremony/competition starts at 11:00 am.
What is the registration deadline, and can I register on tournament day?
Online registration via Smoothcomp closes Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 PM. No registration will be allowed the day of tournament.
How much does registration cost?
Registration costs $25 per division.
What divisions are offered?
Divisions listed are Veterans (Masters), Seniors-Novice Green Belt and Below, Advanced Brown Belt and Above, and Junior divisions divided by age. All divisions will also be divided by male and female as well as weight.
How long are matches?
Junior matches will be 3 minutes. All senior matches will be 5 minutes.
What gi colors are allowed?
Any gi color will be allowed. Blue and white sashes will be available for competitors to use.
