COPA DE HK - The Hong Kong International Grappling Tournament 2026

This is a GI and NOGI open tournament.

Bracket will be release after the registration deadline on October 4, 2026.

Early Bird Absolute special offer: HKD $250.-

REGULAR REGISTRATION PERIOD (JULY 25 - September 27, 2026)

Regular Registration (July 25 - September 27 2026): HK$ 680.-

LATE REGISTRATION PERIOD (SEPTEMBER 28 - OCTOBER 4, 2026)

Late Registration (September 28 - October 4, 2026): HK$ 880.-

ABSOLUTE (open weight) REGISTRATION  (JULY 25- OCTOBER 4, 2026)

Absolute Registration: HK$ 350.-   

(Please note that this is an additional fee to compete in the open weight (absolute) category. You must first register for a weight class to be eligible for the absolute category.)

** For Registration after October 4 2026, please contact us directly through email (copadehongkong@gmail.com). An additional HK$250.- handling fee is required.

***Please note that there will be no refund for this competition once you registered.

If you are the only competitor in your category, you have three options:

1. Stay in the Category:  You will automatically receive a medal.
2. Change to Another Category:  Choose a different category to compete in.
3. Request a Refund:  Obtain a refund for your registration.

Please notify the organizers of your decision via email (copadehongkong@gmail.com)  by October 8, 2026. If no response is received, you will automatically be assigned to Option 1 (staying in the category).

Scoring System:

In BJJ competitions, a competitor can win a match by submission, points, advantage, or referee's decision.

Here's a breakdown of the scoring system:

Throws and/or takedowns: 2 points

Knee on belly: 2 points

Sweep: 2 points

Passing the guard: 3 points

Top mount position: 4 points

Control from the back (Back mount and/or Back Grab): 4 points

Advantage: is determined by aggressiveness, submission attempts, takedown attempts, and superior positioning.
