ADCC CHINA 2026 GUANGZHOU OPEN

When the kapok flowers fall to the ground, we gather on the banks of the Pearl River. For the first time this year, ADCC has set up an Open tournament in Guangzhou, open to athletes from all grappling disciplines—whether Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, or Sambo. Grapplers from different backgrounds compete on the same stage; every lock and submission is the ultimate contest of strategy and will. As the tide rises, so does the fighting spirit—let us see heroes meet by the Pearl River.

Competition

Start Date: December 6, 2026

Men (Adult 18+, Masters 1 35+, Masters 2 40+)

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Professional Categories:

Beginner: Less than 2 years of grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, etc. training; and no professional MMA competition experience.

Intermediate: 2 to 4 years of grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, etc. training; or professional MMA competition experience.

Advanced: More than 5 years of grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, etc. training; has competed in professional MMA.

Professional: More than 5 years of grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, etc. training or professional MMA competition experience.

Absolute Divisions:

Men’s: Male athletes aged 18 and above. (Maximum 32 athletes)

Women’s: Female athletes aged 18 and above. (Maximum 32 athletes)

Registration:

Registration opens at 10:00 on September 21, 2026,

closes at 22:00 on November 22, 2026.

Early Bird (09/21 - 10/18): RMB 550

Phase 1 (10/19 - 11/15): RMB 650

Phase 2 (11/16 -11/22): RMB 800

Division + Absolute (registration fee discount): Division + Absolute = original registration fee + RMB 300

All tournament brackets will be announced on 28th November on Smoothcomp.com.

Weigh-in:

Weigh-in starts from 16:30 to 20:00 on December 5, 2026.

Notes:

To avoid high-level athletes dropping down to compete across divisions, athletes should refer to both belt rank and training experience standards when registering.

In case of false reporting or concealment, once verified, competition eligibility/results will be canceled, information will be published on the official account, and the athlete will be blacklisted by the ADCC-China Organizing Committee. The specific enforcement periods are as follows:

Before the bracket is published, athletes are allowed to update and adjust;

If a report is made on the day of the competition and verified, competition eligibility will be canceled;

If false or concealed reporting is discovered after the competition, competition results will be canceled;

A competition division must have at least 3 athletes. If a division has fewer than 3 athletes, the athlete(s) will be contacted to coordinate the division (move up to a higher division).

Awards:

The top three athletes in each weight class receive medals.

The team with the most points wins "Best Team."

Professional Division — Absolute Champions (Men and Women): RMB 3,000;

Advanced Division — Absolute Champions (Men and Women): RMB 1,000;

Intermediate Division — Absolute Champions (Men and Women): RMB 500;

Beginner Division — Absolute Champions (Men and Women): RMB 500;

Under 17: Each weight-class champion receives a RMB 200 red-envelope bonus.

All participants will receive one exquisite ADCC souvenir.
