I highly recommend Davidson County BJJ. It is a family friendly environment and caters to ages 3 and up! My 5 and 3.5 year love attending the Little Ninja's class, its engaging and perfect for their ages. If you're curious, check out their website to sign up for a trial class, you won't regret it!

This is a fantastic Jiu Jitsu gym! My 5 year old LOVES it. I have noticed a positive change in his behaviors since we began coming here. He has also not had any disruptive behaviors at school. He gets lots of 1:1 attention here and it has made such a difference!

My 9yr old daughter loves going!!!! They have day and night classes so anything to fit your schedule. Very clean and professional atmosphere! The coaches are amazing!!

I had quite a bit of trepidation with starting BJJ in my 40's. Professor Chad, the Coaches, and everyone who trains here quickly made that go away. I've trained at my own pace with supportive motivation from everyone. The curriculum has been perfect for me and I'm amazed at my growth in a short amount of time. This has helped me stay dedicated to my goals of living a healthier lifestyle. I would highly recommend DCBJJ to anyone.

Right from the get-go, it was super clear that Davidson County BJJ & Section 8 MMA wasn't just another gym. It felt more like we'd walked into a big, welcoming family. My boys have been going here for a while now, and oh boy, the difference in their confidence is just amazing. They absolutely love their classes – it's the highlight of their week, hands down. They've picked up some cool self-defense moves, sure, but the big win? The boost in their confidence. It's like they walk taller now, and it's awesome to see that shine through in everything they do. Now, we've got to talk about Chad Stevens. This guy is something else. He doesn't just teach; he connects. He's got this way of pushing the kids to aim higher, always in a way that makes them feel supported and believed in. Chad's gone out of his way for my boys more times than I can count, making sure they're getting the most out of their time at the gym. But it's not just about the classes or even Chad alone. It's the vibe of the place that's really special. It's super welcoming and supportive – like, everyone's rooting for each other all the time. It's taught my boys a lot about teamwork and being there for others, which is just as cool as any martial arts move, if you ask me. In short, Davidson County BJJ & Section 8 MMA is the place to be. My boys have found their second home here, and we're all so grateful for the positive changes we've seen. Big thanks to Chad and everyone there for making it such a great experience.

My son had attended for 3 months now. He has gained so much confidence in himself because of Coach Marco and fellow students. These instructors are Grade A, no exaggeration here. Marco uses great patience with helping all students to fully understand every move and it's purpose. Seriously, there is only positive energy coming from these instructors and students. I'm still amazed, such a great investment for my child's self esteem

I dropped in while visiting from out of town. They definitely seem to have fostered a great gym culture. Very easy group of folks to get along with, but still get high quality rolls from. I would definitely recommend them for folks in the area or from out of town. Looking forward to dropping in again when I’m in the area.

By way of several different reasons, I started searching for a martial arts school for my 2 young daughters. After reaching out to different local facilities, Chad replied back almost immediately and invited the girls to come in and try BJJ. Within a few minutes of walking into the building, my wife and I knew that we had definitely found the right place. Chad was very informative and very friendly to us. The youth instructor Marco is an absolute great choice for teaching small kids BJJ. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and my girls love being part of his class. They began making new friends immediately. For anyone interested in learning BJJ or other martial arts I highly recommend this school, Davidson Country BJJ. While I can only give them 5 stars, this school deserves 6

We just signed up, but Chad has been so helpful and gone above and beyond for us! So happy with our decision to sign our girls up here! 8 1/2 Months being a part of Section 8 and they have become like family! Best decision we ever made, our girls have gained confidence, strength, many friends, a positive mindset and much much more! Our kids are in the second week of the youth classes. And they freaking love it. Before when they would get gone they weren't really excited about anything. And I remember last week being so nervous about signing them up for something and then they decide not to do it. And every day last week they would so I'm so sore. I would say no pain no gain. You practice at something you will get better and stronger. Now Bentley is even able to get his head off the mat for his bridge and Rayne is now sure it's a sport for girls and boys. And the coaches are phenomenal. We haven't gotten in tight yet with anyone but my kids definitely plan on sticking with it and I for one can't wait to see where they go!!

I walked in looking for a place to train and wasn’t disappointed. Equipment that looks like it gets use, championship belts on the wall, and smiling faces painted onto people who look like they could flip your car are three sure fire hints you’re in the right place. First class was awesome and everyone I have been exposed to is knowledgeable, respectful, and not afraid to challenge you. Great Gym! I signed up for a year.

Hands-down one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my life. Since I was very young I’ve always wanted to get involved with some kind of martial arts and I don’t think I could’ve made a better choice than Davidson county jujitsu. Coach Chad Stevens is not only a brilliant jujitsu fighter but great human being in general. No matter what your goals may be coach Chad and his other hand picked coaches will be more than willing to work with you to get you to whatever your personal goals may be. If you ever wanted to get involved in any sort of martial arts or combat sport please make this your first choice you will not be disappointed.

My son is 6 years old and in the homeschool BJJ program. He has made incredible improvement in the month and half he has been training with coach Marco and coach Sam. Their is a wide range of ages in the group and both Marco and Sam are amazingly patient with all the kids and has the ability to meet them at their own level and encourages them to do their best. He doesn’t let them bail out but knows when they’ve reached their limit and will let them have a break to regroup. We are very fortunate to be apart of this BJJ family and we look forward to seeing our son grow and learn from the best coaches and students anyone could ask for.

My sons 10 and this is his first experience with BJJ. The coaches here really take the time to help him not only learn the proper techniques but to understand why the techniques work. Even though he’s way behind on skills compared to others, the kid is loving it thanks to the environment he’s learning in. 👍🏼

If you're looking to build confidence and respect in your child I strongly recommend signing them up. The instructors are awesome they put everyone in a position to grow at their own rate but continuously push them to get better. One of the best decisions I have made for the continued growth of my son.

I’ve been training with my dad all my life, but started Jiu Jitsu with him at the age of 12. Now I’m 19 years old and a purple belt. Dad has coached me thru big tournaments (2017 No Gi Pan American Champion at blue belt), superfights, and even an MMA fight. He works hard and I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. Love you dad.

Charged a fourth month after we called multiple times to let them know we'd be ending our membership after the third month. My daughter did not attend a single class for the month we are charged. Phone calls weren't returned. Owner refused to refund us the 240 dollars for the 4th month.
