This is the third Jiu Jitsu / MMA gym I have trained at, and it is by far the best. Just an outstanding group of people who really look out for each other, push each other to be better, and create a solid sense of community. I drive an hour, one way, to train at this gym.

I am traveling for work, my co worker really likes BJJ and convinced me to come for a lesson. I had an excellent time. The atmosphere was inviting for a newcomer, the class was professionally instructed, I got a great workout without fear of being injured, I learned new stuff, and there was plenty of people to roll with. I will be back!

In Buena Vista on vacation and dropped into veritas. Can’t say enough good things about these folks, everyone is welcoming and incredibly kind. Had some really good instruction and really tough rounds. A high level of knowledge and skill at this gym in a small mountain town. Can’t wait to go back!

Was in town on vacation with my family and had the opportunity to train 3x here and the atmosphere and people are amazing. Definitely recommend training here if you are looking to do jiu-jitsu for the first time, or passing through.

Dropped in at Veritas Training Center while I was in Buena Vista for the week and was seriously impressed. I’ve trained at a bunch of gyms in bigger cities, and you can tell pretty quickly when a place is legit. Veritas has that solid mix of good culture, solid rolls, and sharp instruction. Dewbie ran a great class—clear teaching, chill vibe, and intentional practice design. Everyone on the mats was welcoming and came to train, not just coast. No egos, just people who want to get better and help you do the same. If you’re passing through or local to the area, this is the spot. Definitely worth checking out!
