Everyone is very welcoming and supportive of the newcomers. The coaches are great, and the overall atmosphere is amazing. After being there a couple of times, the perfect 5 star reviews of this place make total sense to me. The facility itself is very clean and has everything you need. If you have no background in Jiu-Jitsu and are thinking about trying a place, I definitely recommend it.

What a phenomenal place. I visited for one day and I was very welcomed by the professor and the students great coaching great hard roles but no one was over aggressive. I couldn’t ask for a better place to visit and if you’re looking for a gym in the area look no further.

Updated: 9/3/24 We truly love this place and the coaches, my son has been a member for over a year and still loving it! Coaches are world class competitors and have all the gold metals to prove it!! Amazing place!! Having joined my 9 year old son just a month ago and we have nothing but amazing things to say about this Jiu Jitsu Gym located in League City Texas. With several choices in the area, we signed up for a free trial class at PEAK JJ and was very happy with what we saw just in that first 45 min experience. My son, who was no longer interested in playing soccer, started to do nothing but watch anime and stay inside so it was time to try something new and THIS WAS IT! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Coach Jon with a smile, it felt like home already and my son fit right in. Extremely CLEAN which is important for a GYM of this type and you can tell they take PRIDE in this skill and establishment. Kids are able to train 2x a week or 3x a week so they can fit into busy schedules with ease and you can switch between programs as needed which is perfect when you have two other kids all doing something different. If your looking to get you kid active and learn how to protect themselves and others give Coach Jon a try, check out their website, great info on Coach Jonathan Satava, he is the REAL DEAL. Several Adult classes at all times of the day, morning, noon and evenings, look into it, you might see me Rollin on the mats soon myself!

Peak Jiujitsu in League City is an absolute must. Highly credentialed gym. Great vibe. Mat area is super nice. Facility is spotless and the locker room area has showers. Coach Jeff was the 0630 No Gi coach and taught an ankle lock from DLR that I will 100% try and incorporate in my game. Looks like I found a new home gym every time I visit League City. Thanks for having me!!!

Been going here for the past 6 months and can’t say enough good things, the facilities are very clean, they have big mats for rolling, and the atmosphere as well as the people are great, glad to be apart of the community.

Iv done alot sports from baseball to boxing to highschool wrestling and out of all the coach’s iv had jonny is by far the best. This place is worth every penny. I even got my wife to join and somehow almost a year later shes still sticking with it and its all thanks to him 👍

Finding a good Jiu Jitsu gym can be difficult, especially in such a large town where there is lots of competition. I've been rolling at Peak since May of this year and wanted to wait to provide an accurate review of my experiences. Do you want a place that is positive, has many talented and helpful people who want to succeed alongside you? This is the gym for you. Do you want a place that fosters a sense of openness and fraternal/sororal bonding that transcends belt color, age, gender, etc? This gym is for you. Do you want access to techniques and knowledge from someone who is a CHAMPION in the sport (and is humble about it)? This gym is for you. Do you want to listen to skater trash music while knee baring your favorite partner? 100% this gym is for you. Joking aside, Peak is a really good gym if you're a beginner or advanced. If you're a female trying jiu jitsu for the first time, this place is also provides a safe environment to do so. No egos, the white belt dudes all have control and great mat etiquette, the upper belts do a good job of making new comers feel welcome... The prices here are also great. Show up, be a good gym partner, take off your shoes, and enjoy!

Peak is PHENOMENAL. Expert BJJ instructor Jon Satava. And my experience as peak for the last 8 months have been fantastic. Peak has restroom and showers. Kid classes. Fundamentals, advanced and open mats. Jon is very approachable with questions or advice. Peak itself is amazing, mats are cleaned frequently and classes are fun and straight to the point. The community sense at peak is great as well. No intimidation and everybody is friendly! I would 100000% recommend Peak to anyone who wants to begin or continue their BJJ journey!

I began training with Jon on the first day in TX, 6 months ago at the age of 45 with no previous experience. I had lived a sedentary lifestyle for over 10 years. I was 220lbs, High BP, High Cholesterol, daily body aches. It has been the best decision I ever made. I'm down to 185, BP and Cholesterol are at levels that no longer require medication. I feel great both physically and mentally. The culture of learning is phenomenal here.

Jon is great at teaching us as beginners, explains the movements well, and has lots of patience. It's a really laid back and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for new students and everyone to have fun and learn. We get both a good workout and better at Jiu-Jitsu every class.

I’ve been a student of Jon’s since he opened his NY location. I cannot explain how lucky the Houston BJJ scene is to have someone of his skill and knowledge available to learn from on a daily basis. Jon’s understanding of jiu jitsu combined with his accolades in competition are impressive enough. He’s got a black belt from Marcelo Garcia. He trained day in and day out at one of the toughest academies in the world. That’s all impressive. But he takes all that and breaks it down into something that a brand new white belt can learn and understand. That’s a skill that not many can claim to have. There’s lots of decorated competitors who can not explain what they do or teach it in a concise manner. When you're learning from Jon everything is easy to understand. As your skill grows, so will your understanding. We’re all sad to lose Jon on a daily basis here in NY, but excited to see what he brings to Texas.

Don’t understand why we have to limit ourselves to 5 stars. Should be a 10/10. Great instructors and atmosphere. From kids to adults the level of detail and care is like no other. Jon reminds me of the ring in lord of the rings as something you want to keep close and always cherish!

I’ve trained at Peak North (in New York) since they opened, almost 4 years ago. Jon and his instructors are extremely hands on and engaging with their teaching, but allow you enough freedom to “find your own voice” so to speak. They have created an incredibly inviting and welcoming vibe, which is evident in the closeness of the community they’ve created at the original location. Whether you’re looking for serious, competition oriented training, or for something fun & engaging for you or your kids, there really isn’t a better place for you than here. Joining Peak has become, and continues to be, one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I've been training with Jon at his Peak location in NY for a few years now and it was one of the best choices I have made. Peak is a school that you go to for the top tier coaching but end up staying because of the atmosphere. Whether you are a competitor or a hobbyist, Peak is a great place for you to train. Jon will help tailor your jiu jitsu game to help you be your best in whichever facet of the art that you choose to explore. He is super invested in his students and is always available for questions. Peak Jiujitsu is something special, from the culture to the get after it attitude and atmosphere if you want to defend yourself, compete or take a better approach to ownership of ones life. This place provides that! I can attest to it! I’ve always said that it’s like an IVY LEAGUE education in the scope of jiujitsu, Jon and his coaching staff do a great job sharing and teaching a “complete” style and as such make that you will not be surprised by anything your sparring partners or opponents are doing! There’s an energy and aura someone like jon brings to the table with ease, he’s easily pound for pound on of the modern greats to ever do it, that being said I’m comfortable and confident in my journey because how he’s held me accountable and continues to now be a training partner and friend!
