Primal is a great martial arts school! I was traveling through Milwaukee, and dropped in for a grappling class with Scott on a Saturday. The facility is very roomy with two large mat spaces and an MMA cage as well. Scott and the entire group were very welcoming and gave me great rolls. I would highly recommend training here if you are in the Milwaukee area or are looking to get into martial arts.

Started at Primal close to a year ago, training mainly through their striking classes. Everything has been great so far. I met plenty of skilled practitioners and have enjoyed the challenge. Highly recommend.

I've been at Primal for almost 2 years now, and I have found a home away from home. I have been in the mma community for some time, and I have never experienced the level of respect and opportunity to grow as I have here. From both the coaches the teammates the encouragement to try something new is unmatched. The classes are fast paced, but everyone here is ready and willing to help whether it be someone brand new or someone experienced who is looking to switch up their game. I would recommend Primal to anyone at any level to come experience what they have to offer. You won't regret it.

PrimalMKE’s coaches are some of the kindest and most knowledgeable people I’ve met. They encourage everyone, no matter their experience level, to be creative and find moves and a style that works for them. They create a culture of trust and respect where it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep their training partner safe, and where everyone has something to teach someone else. Their coaches compete regularly themselves, including at ADCC trials, and they encourage members to put themselves out there in competitions frequently. Their jump-in-head-first approach may feel challenging at first, but it’s based in sports science and is proven to help athletes improve more quickly than traditional drill style classes. They just added a permanent cage and another huge extension for more classes and their workout area. I highly recommend Primal to anyone who’s interested in a fast-paced, playful learning environment with wonderful people!
