  So about 4.5 yrs ago I did about 6 mths of BJJ . About 3 wks ago I returned to behan . I must say BJJ makes me nervous , but at behan bjj I feel so welcomed and part of the team . Everyone, coach or student are very patient and willing to help when possible . A gym that's very clean and has everything you need , highly professional coaches that bring a relaxed atmosphere and great culture to the gym . Highly recommend

  Amazing Professor, Coaches and staff are more than accommodating for the Parents, Practitioners and of course most importantly the little one's, lot's of parking right across the road, a very committed team who not only train but educate with passion and enthusiasm for our wonderful sport , I believe there is something for everyone here for everyone Go Team Behan !

  Our family has had an amazing experience at Behan BJJ. Both of my boys started on their 6th birthday, and seeing their confidence, discipline, and enjoyment grow has been incredible. I decided to join as well, starting as a complete beginner in my 40s, and have felt welcomed from day one. A special mention to the CLA (Constraints-Led Approach) No-Gi class – it was honestly one of the most enjoyable classes I’ve ever done. It was fun, engaging, and created an environment where everyone could learn through movement and problem-solving, regardless of experience level. If you’re considering trying BJJ for yourself or your kids, I couldn’t recommend Behan BJJ highly enough.

  I reached out to the awesome staff and spoke to gabby at behan and explained i was in town for a couple of days and was hoping to stop by for a training session. I was happily welcomed to join thats same day and even offered to train for free as it was only a short visit. such an amazing vibe at the gym, absolutely everyone i spoke to were super welcoming and happy I stopped by Justin the head coach and owner even showed the courtesy of rolling with me in the open rounds which was greatly appreciated after training I spoke woth Justin and he again showed appreciation that I stopped by the experience in the room was also noticeable with multiple black and brown belts I 100% recommend this gym to anyone travelling or local for a great place to train cheers guys

  I was looking for a gym to train while in Toowoomba, and I found Behan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I can’t recommend this gym enough, it combines a really friendly environment with very high standards. In addition, there are Muay Thai sessions in the evenings for those who would like to swap the gi for gloves.   Was in town locally for work and dropped in for some training - Justin breaks down techniques really well, adding details from what he sees people struggling with during practicing. Great bunch of people to roll with, very friendly and good pressure to go against too. I like the end of session chat about the technique, it makes you think more about what you just learnt and how to incorporate it. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re in the area.
