I could go on and on about the benefits of Jiu Jitsu and the impact it has made on my life, but what really matters is WHERE you train. If you are looking for a professional and safe atmosphere where you can learn top tier BJJ then Gracie Humaita Huntsville is the place. Stepping on the mat for the first time can seem like an intimidating endeavor but when walking into this gym those reservations are quickly set at ease. The professors and other team members truly care about people and they aim to ensure that no-one is left behind and the team grows together. Jiujitsu challenges you to be better in every aspect of life and you will have fun every second of it. Every time I walk out of the doors I’m thinking about when I can come back!!

I started going to this gym in May and have loved every minute of it. Ryan our professor is very knowledgeable and gives help to any and all who need it. Every is very respectful of new people like myself. High belts always help lower belts and its more like family. I would recommend Gracie Humaita Huntsville to anyone who wants to better themselves, and learn self defense.

I retired in September of 2022 and one of my goals was for my wife and I to finally enroll at a Gracie Academy. At 57 years old it was quite intimidating and I was concerned about past injuries flaring up and preventing me from doing well. Immediately I was put at ease by the owner Phil Riggs who is a year older than I am. Everyone at Gracie Humaita Huntsville are there not only trying to better themselves but they are trying to make you better as well. Professor Ryan is not just an incredible teacher and practitioner of Jujitsu but he is an amazing human being who really cares about this lifestyle. He holds you and himself to the highest standards. It really is so much more than a sport. The lessons I have learned over the last year have been invaluable to me and to my overall health and confidence. So if you live in the Huntsville area and are considering Jujitsu you will find no better academy anywhere than right here at Gracie Humaita Huntsville!

Me and my son trained here for two years and it was a fantastic experience. The owners and coaches have developed a safe and positive environment. Although I don't train there on a regular basis right now, when I visit it always feels like I am home.

Gracie Humaita Huntsville has been a literal life changer for our family. It has not just helped cultivate a healthy physical change, but allowed us all to make amazing connections with people both at the gym, and in the entire BJJ community. The leadership is strong and always proves to push people to be better. If you want to learn jiu jitsu, or self defense, or just try something different, this is the place to be. They offer adult and kids classes and the classes are offered at different times of the day to accommodate schedules. Not only will you get top notch instruction, but you will learn from the best! Aside from the training, the atmosphere is fun and inviting! The owners are caring and professional, the members are like an extended family, and Huntsville is very lucky to have such an amazing and special jiu jitsu gym.

Just updating my review. Been apart of the gym as a student and/or parent of students for 3 years now, and have to say this gym is still top notch. They are thorough in not only teaching the art of Jui Jitsu, but also dealing with adversity in life. They care about you like family, and will reach out if they see a need, even if you do not ask. Come to Gracie Humaita Huntsville, you won't find a better family atmosphere.

I have to say by far the best gym out there! Everyone is extremely welcoming and the instructors are very interactive! They really keep the class entertaining and learning fun! This gym is also very nice and comforting, home away from home which is great for the amount of time you spend training here! 100% recommend!!!

This school and its staff are amazing. The instructors are incredible. I’ve been a student of Gracie Humaita for over 10 years. If you’re lucky enough to have access to this school, you need to go check them out. You’ll love the atmosphere, the culture and the amazing instructors and fellow students.

There is no better place to train and no better people to train with than here at Gracie Huntsville. The instructors are amazing and the fellow students are always friendly and respectful. Don't make an excuse to why you can't try it out. I started at 35, overweight, out of shape, and with really bad social anxiety. If you are on the fence, just come try it out and you will not regret it.

Professor Andy Yount & Ryan, Chance & Daniel are beasts among men, and I am beyond thankful that I get to learn and practice the fighting art of brazilian jiu jitsu through their experiences and wealth of knowledge. 🙏🏼 All of the women and men who train here are helpful, as well as skilled. Many of the members are current competitors, so even as a beginner white belt like myself, you get to roll with experienced members, which will push you to improve. If you are even slightly interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, don’t hesitate, go join.

I have been training at Huntsville Jiu Jitsu since November of 2020. Coach Andy Yount, Chance Norman, and Phil Riggs have worked with me and my kids every Tuesday and Thursday. Class always pushes you to be better work harder and always learn. I started because I wanted to get in shape, and have come away with so much more. I'm glad we have the opportunity in Huntsville now. Come give it a shot!

Dont go here the instructor act likes he is above every one and advertises honor discipline respect and family but he will sit there and be rude and talk down to a mother in front of children he does not practice what he advertises orthe beliefs of the sport he is a bully but wants to act like he is against bullys this guy is a joke and this whole place dont worry brother we were not against your rules but as you said your gym your rules as you talk down to a mother how mature and respectful so much discipline this guy acts like he has
