Joined this gym November of 2020. I had quit smoking, put on some weight, and was looking for a way to get back in shape. I’ve been with Silverback Brazilian Jiu Jitsu of Huntsville ever since. I’ve lost 20 pounds, have been able to keep it off, I feel great, and have had the pleasure of training under, and with a lot of great people. Great coach, great Professors, and great teammates! When I started BJJ at Silverback almost 6 months ago, I was a 250 Lb, out of shape recent divorcee with no friends and no motivation or energy. Coach John put me on the path and I go 4 days a week , I'm down to 207 Lbs and have made great friends! Awesome atmosphere. John is a great teacher who will put you in some tough positions, but also give you the tools to get out of them. Great group of people. Very friendly and welcoming. Also, a very diverse group to train with. I highly recommend Silverback BJJ to anyone who is looking to challenge themselves both physically and mentally.
