Posted 4 months agoI retired in September of 2022 and one of my goals was for my wife and I to finally enroll at a Gracie Academy. At 57 years old it was quite intimidating and I was concerned about past injuries flaring up and preventing me from doing well. Immediately I was put at ease by the owner Phil Riggs who is a year older than I am. Everyone at Gracie Humaita Huntsville are there not only trying to better themselves but they are trying to make you better as well. Professor Ryan is not just an incredible teacher and practitioner of Jujitsu but he is an amazing human being who really cares about this lifestyle. He holds you and himself to the highest standards. It really is so much more than a sport. The lessons I have learned over the last year have been invaluable to me and to my overall health and confidence. So if you live in the Huntsville area and are considering Jujitsu you will find no better academy anywhere than right here at Gracie Humaita Huntsville!

Our coaches constantly strive to make us better warriors every day (regardless of how annoying I am!) and they really foster a family dynamic that makes us all better people!
Posted 1 year agoI could go on and on about the benefits of Jiu Jitsu and the impact it has made on my life, but what really matters is WHERE you train. If you are looking for a professional and safe atmosphere where you can learn top tier BJJ then Gracie Humaita Huntsville is the place. Stepping on the mat for the first time can seem like an intimidating endeavor but when walking into this gym those reservations are quickly set at ease. The professors and other team members truly care about people and they aim to ensure that no-one is left behind and the team grows together. Jiujitsu challenges you to be better in every aspect of life and you will have fun every second of it. Every time I walk out of the doors I’m thinking about when I can come back!!
Posted 1 year agoIf you want your child to learn respect and discipline this is the place to be. All the instructors are kind hard working and dedicated. They way the deal with kids is absolutely amazing!! Absolutely recommended!!
